The hotel was okay and the location was great. I was relatively impressed up until the point I tried to get the perks from my Expedia Gold, which the did not iffer to me and when I inquired about late check out they advised it was available but for a fee of 20£ per hour. They did not communicate these fees to Expedia if that was thr case and I would have chosen another VIP Access hitel if I had known. Not particularly happy with the service from the staff either. The rooms come with no amenities either just the basic shower gel

I booked the rooms a while back. The property was very nice, lovely rooms, I booked two rooms and requested that one room be a twin room, (we didnt get this) there were a few issues also with the other room. Firstly the key wouldn't work and then the heat couldn't be adjusted. .it was so cold and uncomfortable. Both these issues were sorted out eventually. Not a good start to our relaxing evening. The next morning we had breakfast , the breakfast room was packed and very hot. I asked a staff member where the cereal bowls were and she pointed and said "there" nowhere near the cereal stand. So rude. Also the cooked breakfast was not up to the standard I would have expected for The Maldron. One of our party suggested that it would have been better to have saved the money we spent on the hotel breakfast and ate at a greasy spoon across the road instead.

Arrived at 11.00am and was given key immediately as we had already done online check in and room was ready. Requested a higher floor and my request was honoured. King room on 13th floor had good views and was very comfortable. Self service breakfast was good with plenty of choice, can have porridge cooked to order. Staff friendly and helpful. Convenient to train and bus station and a short walk to city centre. Only problem was key would not open bedroom door when we came back from breakfast. Had to go down to reception twice before we got a key which worked. Reception stored luggage until we were going home. Had a well presented meal in bar area. Would stay here again
