The property looks like it had better days and was probably at it's prime about 10 years ago. The sky deck is no longer maintained which is unfortunate as it has a fantastic tree height view of howler monkeys. Canoe's were old and un-maintained. Food good. Pool area good. No pickup at Airport even when confirmed twice that a pickup would occur. Good for 1 or 2 nights only as there isn't anything to do in the area, unless you want to take tours offsite.

A nature park next to the river The sound of birds and howler monkeys surround you The bar and restaurant has great service great food and cold beer Excellent place to stay while visiting Lamanai ruins I will definitely recommend and return

The staff at restaurant was excellent and accommodating. This is the perfect place for an inexpensive clean room, without the bells and whistles. Beware! The door to your room has a 2 inch gap.

No Hot water, No internet, broken pool chairs, torn and loose hanging sun shades at pool, rude front desk staff. The only saving grace was the restaurant staff and food.

Nice quaint resort off the beaten path. Fish cakes and vegetable pealla in restaurant was delicious. Mario, the driver was a godsend. He was patient, courteous, knowledgeable about Belizean history/culture and a very good Black Orchid ambassador!!

We had a lovely stay at The Black Orchid. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The location by the river is very nice and you can hear and see monkeys at the property. There isn’t much walkable nearby. The Iguana Stop next door is excellent. Beyond that there isn’t much in Burrell Boom. The hotel will provide a shuttle to other locations, at an additional cost. There are no bicycles or canoes.

They set up a trip to Tikal that was very well coordinated. Did not have to deal with Guatemala officials, the two guides we had drove and then toured us through Tikal with a wealth of knowledge. Thanks!

We chose the resort for it's proximity between the airport and zoo. Turns out it was the perfect choice. Staff was very attentive, clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and choose to stay agai .

Quiet and peaceful, lots of people there watching birds, close to airport but not far from Belize if want to go to town, has it's own restaurant with good food. Staff keen to help with whatever you need.

Mariano, the manager is whom and what made our stay so wonderful. It's conveniently located close to the airport. The property needs a little dusting (TLC) but has character with a beautiful view of the river. Good restaurant and bar on property makes it very convenient. Overall I have no problems recommending to stay there.

I had a great time here, my last night in Belize-about 20 minutes from the airport-making it a great stop/start point. Nice rooms and pool,along the river. Great staff,great bartender and food. Very courteous, helpful staff, Edmon was the best. Definitely return here.

Honestly nice people Good food I can hear into my neighbours unit I don’t like that I was told about the tax charge when I was leaving I didn’t know it was it posted to pay extra for it to be 60 US for a to a 20 minute ride to the airport

The staff were wonderful and its a wonderful setting with beautiful scenery but there were no real options for vegan or vegetarians. The beds had plastic sheets underneath and the screens on the windows didn't really work. The bathrooms could have been a bit bigger or modern.

Lovely place! Nice outside restaurant and grounds to walk around. Enjoyed the stars at night from their rooftop. Good for bird lovers. My husband enjoyed using one of their canoes. Very friendly staff!

Just what we dreamed , a jungle adventure, and so much more !! Loved your location as well as your entire staff , as far as the few things that need attention, room 4C ceiling fan, No drain cover on bathroom sink . The the size and the comfort , and cable TV , of the room, maybe up for it . Thank you Mario, our driver and tour guide . Amber, front desk receptionist . Mariano, resort manager, alway greeting us by our first names ! Our restaurant servers Ashanti, Jaheim and bartender , Hurbert . And of course herbalists , Miss Berverly wish we had more time .
