Hello, Lesbia. We do appreciate and welcome all feedback. We thank you for that. We do, however, wonder why you referred to your "room" which is actually a Villa with a full sized kitchen and living area in addition to your bedroom. Surely there are times when a guest does not care for their Villa furnishings, but the Villa you were in has cream colored furnishings in the Living Room and at the kichen counter. The bed headboard is also creamed color, though the bed side tables are mahogony. So, we are quite confused by these negative comments. With regard to the curtain you are referencing and the carpet, our GM is personally inspecting those to be certain they continue to meet our high standards. I wish I could attach some photos to this reply referencing the jungle landscape at Chabil Mar, which is lush and represents all of Belize, while making certain that every Villa has a clear view of the beach, sea and our private pier. You had a view of the beach and sea directly from your personal veranda and we encourage all potential visitors to Chabil Mar to view the many photos on our website to see that everyone of our 22 Villas has a view of the sea. Some are Seafront while other are seaview, but even ground floor Villas, which yours was, have a view of the sea and beach. We stand by the natural beauty of Belize represented at Chabil Mar Villas, which our grounds crew has proudly maintained for over 15 years.

We're sorry that you felt the menu was limited since you didn't eat seafood, however, every dining time, from breakfast, to lunch and dinner do have multiple meat and non meat menu items to choose from. We, of course, are very focused on providing the best service and amenities in the tourism business and your comments are being shared with our Chef for his review. Thank you for offering your positive feedback and so glad you enjoyed the quiet amenities at Chabil Mar. Since we are boutique and guest exclusive (not open to the general public) providing entertainment is not an option since we have a maximum of 40 persons on site at any given time and the local entertainment in Placencia Village, five minutes away is easily accessible by walking along the beach of bike in 5 minutes and we also provide complimentary evening shuttles. Thank you for your recommendation, Bryan.

Hello, Anonymous. We thank you for choosing Chabil Mar Resort in Placencia Village for your Belize vacation. We have both Seaview and Partial Seaview Villas as you know. Seaview, which are on the second floor are seafacing, overlooking the pools, to the beach and the Caribbean. The Partial Seaviews are on the first floor, also facing the Caribbean. Our Seafront Villas are directly on the beach. We have titled our Seaview and Partial Seaview Villas as we have done, since they are not directly on the beach, but they do have views of the Caribbean, but from different levels. I understand from our General Manager that he did speak with you while you were with us about the location of the accommodation types that we offer. I hope you found that the A/C systems in our Villas cooled the air within in about ten minutes upon your return. We do try to maintain as much reasonable ecological control and use of our A/C as possible without impacting our guests enjoyment and comfort since each Villa has individually guest controlled A/C units in each room of the Villa. We attempt to be ECO friendly in all of our environments. We apologize if you were uncomfortable upon your immediate return to your Villa.

Our General Manager has been alerted to your comments regarding the bed sheets. We use 400 thread count bed sheets so we will be looking into the reasons why they could have been rough. Our chef, Daniel, has expressed his concern about your comments regarding the food. While we have had most guests very pleased with our menu and the quality, presentation and settings of our dining service, again, we take these comments very seriously so we are meeting our objective of providing the best cuisine in Placencia. We do hope you will visit with us once again. We also hope that you took advantage of our location a five minute bike ride or beach walk to the Village to sample some of the dining options there as well.
