QuietPosted Nov 12, 2015
Cons: Wi-fi connection, cottage bathroom and the restaurant could use some sprucing up.
Location: It is near San Ignacio down town area, so lots of options with the local restaurants.
The resort is located in a private, secluded area with rustic-like cottages. The cottage itself is very cozy, but the bathroom could probably use some updates and there's no wi-fi connection. You would have to go and roam the area to get a strong signal.

Affordable resort a short trip from townPosted Sep 17, 2015
First and foremost, the staff was awesome! Jessica was very accommodating from the get-go and I felt confident anyone working the desk could help me navigate planning my first trip to San Ignacio. I had the unique experience of staying there during slow season, so the only socializing was with staff as some nights I was the only guest on the property. Most meals I went into town. The only letdown was the pool. It is gorgeous, but the pump had (recently?) broken and over the 4 days I was there the water turned a deep shade of green. Windy Hill's location is great -$10BZE taxi to town. I checked out a high end resort down the street for dinner one night and found it overAmerican and way overpriced, making me grateful for the reasonable rate for room and food at Windy Hill.

Nice hotel, green and well kept grounds!Posted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: Green grounds, up the hill, pleasant quiet comfortable stay.
Cons: No phone-access to reception from room. Very spotty wi-fi, mostly didn't work from the room. Needed to go to bar/ restaurant to get better connection
Location: You can visit a few archaeological sites from this location with ease -- Cahal Pech, Xunantunich and even a day trip to Tikal is doable.
Had a comfortable stay. Food places were easily accessible. Room did not have a fridge or microwave but was clean and well stocked with other amenities. There is a swimming pool and children's play areas on site.

We were put in a room with public bathrooms attached which we didn't want the noise from the bathrooms in our cottage. The hotel moved us willingly and without additional charge to a nicer cottage. The bar has games, pool & ping pong to play which was nice. The pool was nice and well maintained. The beds were very firm so it was more difficult to sleep. Water pressure in our cottage wasn't great, but overall a nice place to stay.

Away from it all!Posted Aug 6, 2015
Fantastic value. We stayed in a Cabana which was clean and comfortable with AC and fan. After trekking and site seeing the ideal place to return to. The pool was very welcome and the food was pretty good, especially the Belizian breakfast..Staff were lovely. Definitely recommend it!

The staff is exceptional! They arrange tours, help with directions around San Ignacio, and are overall concerned about making your stay enjoyable. (Thanks for all your help Natalia). The cottages are very private. The infinity pool is nice. Overall a great experience! (One very small issue, the Internet is slow here).

Lovely hotelPosted Jul 30, 2015 on Hotels
We had a free welcome drink on arrival, our room was very spacious and clean and we could park right at our cabana door. We had a poolside room which I'd recommend, the pool itself was lovely. Lots of toiletries available. Staff were excellent - particularly Vivi. WiFi was also excellent.

TranquiloPosted Jul 28, 2015 on Hotels
