Nice hotel close to shops and restaurants

Pros: The easy parking and the reasonable price
Cons: Maybe breakfast hours instead of 5:30 to 9:00 could be extended to 9:30
Location: Shopping and a great restaurant the Olive Garden close by
A very pleasant experience from the moment we were checked in by the young gentleman on the desk, he was very easy to talk to and very obliging. I have stayed there many times over th years but the beds seemed even more comfortable I wondered if they were new,

The hotel needs new carpet. It was really bad in the room. Breakfast was good.

Expected more for the price

The toilet had urine and a hair on it. That was enough for me. But light fixtures flickered repeatedly, and the condition of the room needs a lot of attention. My husband said the breakfast was pretty good - I didn't go to it, because they stopped serving at 9am, even on the weekend.

Cold

Bed coverings were very thin so it was a cold sleep. Room was clean except for carpets which were stained badly. Complimentary breakfast was decent.

Filthy!

Stained carpets and black mold all over the grout in the bathroom. Animal crackers along the baseboard and we had no kids with us. Rooms are large with a nice kitchen area but overall couldn't get past the filthiness. Front desk staff was friendly but other staff was definitely not.

Not the 1st of the 'Choice Hotels' in Bellingham

Pros: Location.
Cons: Showing it's age in a few areas, such as paint. Exterior building doors 'slam' very heavily...at all hours!
Location: Hotel is very near the Bellis Fair Shopping Mall, and Meridian St. has loads of restaurants, liquor outlets, gas stations, Wallgreen's drugs, Etc.
Obviously a busy weekend, as only double queen rooms available. Had reserved for 2 nights, but called hotel about 6:40 PM to advise could not make it first night, but would be there for 2nd. Was told it was too late to cancel, I'd be charged for 1st night, but they would hold the room. On arrival, clerk could not find a reservation, but after several minutes and a call to Asst. Mgr., found it under my first name?? I asked, since I was charged for 2 nights would I get my Choice Hotels loyalty points for both, but reply was that I would have to call them directly about first night, he would ensure I got them for the 2nd. Clearly seeing I was somewhat frustrated, he offered a $10 discount on room rate.
