We loved our stay at Jaguar Creek! The location was centrally located for the many adventures the lodge helped us book! We spent a day deep in the earth at Crystal Cave with Edgar amazing guide from Belize Tours. This spelunking is not for the faint of heart. We also visited ATM cave which is fabulous! And finally we went cave tubing (again with Edgar). Belize is back in business and all the tours and reasons you'd come to the jungle are for the taking: waterfall swimming, caving, birds, monkeys! But everything is less crowded! Plus the people in Belize wear masks all the time, everywhere. There is nothing political about masking up, and how nice is that? Jaguar Creek, in particular, did a great job protecting the guests from Covid: masks, hand sanitizer, tours that took proper precautions. We ate breakfast each morning at the resort: fresh cooked and delicious, and some dinners. Breakfast is $10 US per person and dinner $15 per person. A little spendy compared to what you can get outside the resort but sometimes you can't beat the convenience. Coffee and tea were provided free in the mornings. Beer about $3.50 US (super spendy) and the mixed drinks were not great. None of the staff have been trained in bartending...so have the beer if you need something. The "river float" is more a sharp rocky creek. If you want to float a river, book something on the Macal. Rooms roomy, clean, romantic. Insects loud at night (which we loved) but not aggressive biters.
