Very nice condo. Just needs some contemporary updates. We enjoyed our stay very much.

pretty good but pretty spendy
Clean, bucolic and quiet. This was in august but one wonders about the demeanor of the winter ski crowd. Paying a nominal resort fee when we only used the room to sleep seemed somewhat over the top I give it a 4.0 rating.

3 Stars is probably about all you can give it.
Although the condo looked nice in the pictures, in reality it is in need off some updating, The bathroom linoleum floor looks ancient, and needs to be thoroughly scrubbed in the corners. One of the shower doors had mildew in the upper corner. The shower head gives an unpleasant showering experience. The lighting in the living-room area is very poor, There is not a single overhead lamp; only one very dim floor lamp. The unit is well-stocked with kitchen utensils and dishes, which were clean. The location is well situated, close to Old Bend and shopping/restaurants.

Great location, substandard room
Mt. Bachelor Village is a great location, on the Deschutes River, just 5 minutes from the Old Mill District. Quick access to Deschutes River trail and Mt. Bachelor. But with the great location, they need to up their game - the pillows were disastrous (seriously - invest in some new pillows for goodness sake, something with a bit of structure), wifi was sketchy, and the room we were in was devoid of any charm (single bedroom with no view, little light and air, noisy A/C). If you stay there, spend the extra dollars and get the suite that overlooks the Deschutes. Otherwise, you're buying the equivalent of a Super 8/Motel 6. Nice pool and amenities on-site, access to Bend Athletic Club is a great bonus.

Unfortunately we visited at a time when the smoke from the nearby fires was thick; but for the smoke the Unit was very pleasant, clean and comfortable for staying inside. Definitely would go back once the smoke clears.

The pictures on the website were misrepresented.
The condo we saw on the website when we were making our reservations was not the same condo we were given. The pictures showed high ceilings, luxurious furnishings, and a view of the Deschutes River. Our room/condo wasn't anything like that. Mt. Bachelor Village most likely posts the nicest condo they have and then uses it to advertise their more generic, dated condos. I would not consider them owner run because there wasn't anything in the entire place that distinguished it from any standard hotel room. That is misrepresentation and we were very disappointed!

our executive room
our reserved executive "room was a bed, no chairs , a view of a parking lot, no fridge. I called the front desk and told them this is unacceptable, they were reluctant but gave it to moving us to a executive suite which was very nice and spacious. Staff was not friendly at all , would not print a receipt of our stay, finally got the to at least print a receipt that we did not occur any room charges, "oh expedia will automatically send receipt to you" a first for me!

Not exactly as advertised, otherwise good
There was no view from the loft room even though it is advertised with view. It was comfortable with 3 queen beds (one is the sofa)2 baths and a kitchen which was well equipped. Nice heated outdoor pool and jacuzzi. It didn't have a real clean feeling with some dust and a dead butterfly on one of the counters that didn't look like he just passed away...

Nice, but isolated place to stay.
I enjoyed the very attractive and comfortable room. The bed, sheets and pillows were excellent. Also, the bathroom towels were top quality. My room was clean. The shower worked well, but it was a plastic unit, far from deluxe. The coffee maker was okay, but only coffee fixings were provided. I asked housekeeping for a pad of paper, and it was provided. There is no restaurant nearby. I did not expect a considerable hike to the Bend Athletic Club for food. A rental car is a necessity, or some means of transportation, because the resort is very far from any local restaurants, etc. It was somewhat challenging for friends to call me, because the voice mail went through a sales menu for the condos on offer, prior to connecting with my room. I would recommend the "River Ridge Executive Room" with one queen bed for anyone who doesn't mind the lack of nearby services and facilities.

BEAUTIFUL RESTFUL RESORT IMMERSED IN NATURE
My check in was rough because the office closes at 10:30 PM and I arrived after that. The numbering system for the buildings is very confusing but the place is so beautiful I didn't really stress out about getting lost occasionally. There are hiking trails, wildlife, river, forest and mountain so adventure opportunities were abound. Management upgraded me because my check in was uniquely challenging. The suite had a balcony which faced forest and mountain with a Jacuzzi. The accommodation was very clean, spacious and had all of the amenities of a fully-functioning home including dishwasher and washer/dryer.

Great little get away
Nice place, but dark in the room. Really needs some lighting. Pool and play area are nice and staff is friendly. Traffic getting there can get a bit backed up because Bend thought it would be a great place to put in roundabouts (there are several).

Inflexible Property
The good: - Best property price available for a late summer reservation in the Bend area. - Beautiful property along the river - Easy driving access to downtown Bend and surrounding areas The bad: - Tired condo, ready for a major upgrade - Smaller than anticipated. No dining area. Limited to a bar stools for eating. The worst: - Very inflexible property reservations through Hotels.com. Made a mistake in my original booking and immediately called to correct. I needed to move the dates one day and cancel the final night of a six night stay. I made the reservation on a Saturday, and was told that only the manager at Mt. Bachelor Village could approve the change, and they were not available until Monday. When I called back on Monday, I was told that they would move the reservation but would not allow me to cancel the one night. Fascinating that it takes them two days to respond to a correction but they would not let me cancel one night of a six night stay. Whatever you do, do not make a mistake when you book at this property.

Great place to stay on the river
We had a wonderful stay here. It was very quiet, loved the trail down to the river. The location is close to the Old Mill District and Downtown. Staff was friendly when we checked in. We did not use the pool or eat at the restaurant, but both looked nice. Room was clean and modern, did not ever hear noise through the walls. The bathroom was great, nice shower head with good pressure.

lovely riverfront resort
we upgraded from a 1 bedroom which we found too small for a 3 day stay to a 1 bedroom suite with full kitchen, living room, private deck and hot tub overlooking the Deschutes River. We ended up barbecuing and eating in as it was so quiet and private.

Perfect for a summer family getaway.
Our condo was quite clean and comfortable and the kids (and us) really enjoyed the pool and playground. This was a great place for our family to stay and relax for a few days. Easy to access downtown Bend as well as local lakes and hikes. A trailhead to the Deschutes River trail was easy walking distance for a great, kid-friendly hike.

Beware - Not What It Appears!
On a one week trip with my son and Bend was to be the highlight, which is why I was willing to spend more for my room there than in some of the other stops. Let me first say that the resort is in an absolutely beautiful location, an incredible property with some gorgeous views looking down onto the Deschutes River from the rocky bluffs high above. And that is what you'll see on all the photos that the resort provided to Expedia... but that is most certainly NOT what I got. In fact, it was quite the opposite. We were put up in a first floor unit, dark and dingy, that looked like it had been picked up at a cheap garage sale. I was as clean, though, but the old adage that you can't put lipstick on a pig applies. We had absolutely no view, unless you consider looking out onto a dusty access road something worth pondering. When I checked out, another guest overheard me speaking to the guest clerk about my disappointment and nodded in agreement, saying she'd had the same experience. The clerk clearly didn't have any clout to do anything about it, though, as she simply gave me a cursory "I'm sorry." They also have no concierge service to assist you in a pinch with booking excursions, or at least that was my experience. It's too bad, because as you drive up the hill you're drooling in anticipation of what you see from across the river. In short, I would think if you have a river view unit you'll be very happy but, if you're booked into a "ski view" unit you'll be upset!

Not what I expected
Should have researched more. Resort to me implied a facility with amenities, not just very small condo units. Very poor signage upon arrival. Unit was poorly identified and had to call office to locate it. Check out staff much more helpful than those at check-in. Will not stay there again nor recommend.

Everything was great except that the windows did not have blackout curtains, so at 6am expect the sun to wake you up. Also, the air conditioner was right next to the bed and so loud that it woke us up every time it started up.

attractive/easy access
Fine for the price, but impossible to read by the lamps, the lampshade linings were darkened and only one wattage of bulb, so you have to use overheads and get up to turn them off if you want to read at night. Also the heater/air conditioner was SO LOUD....woke us up every time it came on. Otherwise, quiet and attractive accommodation close to a main thoroughfare but no road noise. Shades on the one window could only be either clear open or dark, and seriously, the TV screen was smaller than my laptop screen.....a little hard to view from the bed. Beautiful grounds and if you are out doors most of the day and only in the room to sleep this accommodation is perfect for you. I know this sounds picky, but it felt like we were either in a cave or exposed to any guests also housed in the same unit.

Excellent Accommodations
I was a little weary about this place, based on other reviews, the pictures and such. I stayed in a "River Ridge Executive Room", which is basically a room with a queen bed. It was part of a little building that had, I believe, 3 other rooms in it (2 upstairs and 2 downstairs). I was really pleasantly surprised. I liked the bed fine. It had a decent-sized fridge, a pretty spacious bathroom, a beautiful 40" (or so) flat panel tv with dvd player, and very decent cable service. The wi-fi internet service was acceptable (and I'm pretty picky). The location is just awesome. Right on a riverbank in a pine forest. The resort includes free access to a huge gym workout facility which includes both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, aerobics classes, and all manner of fitness equipment.

Scenic & frolicking river walk nearby
The best of both worlds -- scenic river beauty plus every imaginable floatation device draped or ornamented with happy people. Walk to the Mill District for swaths of green parkways highlighted by sculptures and crisscross the many bridges. The trail starts in front of guest registration and once parallel with Century Dr follow it until it dips down a gravel path to the river. Take a left to walk under the bridge and enjoy the river greenbelt walkway to restaurants and shops (expect small box stores not old buildings). Enjoy!
