Hard to believe that this sunrise was real. Bend, Oregon is an awesome place to see the Pacific Northwest in all its glory.
Trover Tip: make sure to get there early enough to see the morning fog 😍. Really adds some texture to your photos. #EndlessSummer You can walk, bike, drive or crawl your way to the top of this steep butte (I think about one mile up). However you get there, you must take in the stunning views as you can see Bend all the way around you and moutains in the distance. Pano of the Deschutes River at dusk! #SpringFun The Turkish bath at McMenamin's is heavenly. #Blue Beer sampler at Deschutes Brewery - mix and match any 6 brews (lots to choose from). My favorite was the Scooby's RYE.P.A (Ruh-roh!) The Cycle Pub is certainly on of the more entertaining and #delicious ways to explore #Bend, #Oregon and its plethora of microbreweries. If you ask me, Boneyard had the best brews. #pnw This is such a unique place to check out! Cafe Sintra is a wonderful Portuguese restaurant located in the middle of downtown Bend. Friday nights have live music. I got a lovely drink called a Port Tonic made with a dry white Portuguese port. The coffee here is awesome, but what really makes this place special is all the wishes hanging from the ceiling. You can grab some markers and make your own while your coffee is being made Karl Hunter (Sax/clarinet) practicing before the show that didn't happen. Near the footbridge. Fried okra, ribs, pulled pork, smoked sausage, seasoned fries, fried mushrooms, and a sweet tea with raspberry vodka. Now THAT'S some BBQ. Smokestacks at REI! #SpringFun Fun PBR window display in Bend, Oregon. I think he needs a name, any suggestions? A heck of a view of the Three Sisters from the top of Pilot Butte. You can get to the top by vehicle or by foot. Next to the Hampton Inn and the footbridge is a vacant lot with old machinery and wildflowers. Tumalo Falls is magical place that feeds into the Deschutes River with spectacular views of the Three Sisters and Broken Top Cascades Mountains.
Parking is tricky to find but a fun short hike with great views of the area.
#takeahike Nice quick side trip with great views. Love these window mannequins at Local Joe. Very Good brews and good eats. Not fast food but good food! Beer battered onion rings, tater tots and fresh milkshakes are tasty sidekicks to the burgers. Take it to go and eat at the waterside park. Yum! Ice cream, chocolates, candy, caramel corn. It's as if Willy Wonka opened an outpost in Bend. Beautiful park in a beautiful town. Beautiful rainbow over Silver Rail Elementary. This is a brand new school opening this year and the gorgeous rainbow was the perfect sign that it is going to be a great year! #colorful Walking around Mirror Pond, in Bend, Oregon. One of my favorite places to visit in central Oregon Breakfast delights! This place is spot on.
#foodie #food #foodlover #oregon #bendoregon #explore #roadtrip #tea #pnw What a lovely place to shop, rent a bike, eat or take in a movie... A somber & pleasant park right in downtown Bend. Great restaurant in Bend. Be sure to save room for dessert! The Cioppino at Deschutes Brewery & Public House is very satisfying and loaded with fish, clams and shrimp. Pair it with your choice of over two dozen beers, all made by the brewery.
#restaurant Cutest little coffee spot in Bend. #takeahike best view in Bend Just down the road from the movie theater are multiple bikes to rent Third weekend in August at the Bend amphitheater. Good crowd (fun, but not rowdy), lots of great beers to try and tasty food to eat. Leave the kiddos at home. Steak nachos with spicy chips is a must
#lifeatexpedia Lemon ricotta pancakes with a mimosa! Starting the day off right!
#lifeatexpedia SW pulled chicken stack. We'll be back!
#lifeatexpedia Awakening 10, 3 oz tastings
#lifeatexpedia Fun little bit of history to be found. Coffee. Bikes. Beer.
Welcome to Bend!
