Nice stay at the Shilo!

Cons: Prefect!
Location: Close to everything in Bend

Disappointing

Free Wi-Fi, then use my computer and won't work. Must have been some kind of cheap server they use. Thin walls and ceilings, sounded like a herd of cattle walking above me. Television was an old model from the 1990's

Cons: Have a manager on staff at ALL times.
1st disappointed we asked for a room on the second floor but were told that they were booked for the weekend and only had 1st floor rooms, ok. 1st day room was cleaned but 1 towel and 2 bath mats thought it was just a mistake so just dismissed it. 2nd day room was not even made up, we left the room at 8:30 am and returned 10:30 pm had to call front desk to ask for new towels at least no apology + there were ants crawling on the table by the tv. when told we told the front desk they said there was nothing that they could do about it that we should have told them at 10:30pm when we had been gone all day and came back to the room and they could maybe get us another room then, but we were checking out at 7:00 am the next morning. The lady at the front desk was VERY unhelpful and gave us the manager's card and said that he wasn't there and would call us NO CALL. We will NOT NOT stay there again. which is to bad because we have stayed there before a room was good and we will be going back to bend a lot more in the future but NOT be staying at the BEND SHILO.

Very outdated and lots of differed maintence. Staff was nice and friendly.

Wouldn't stay again

We found spiders and a couple other bugs in our room, it smelled musty and the faucet in the bathroom barely worked. There was food crumbs and dirt next to the nightstand. It appeared the room had not been vaccummed well. We paid for a river view....We had a river view but also a view of people's houses across the river. Breakfast was served 6-10 am, we arrived at 9:15 with little food left and no staff to be found to refill food. What food we did eat was overcooked.

Pros: Nothing
We left the hotel after one night and checked into the hotel next door. The breakfast was horrible and the restaurant and bar were closed.
