We enjoyed this for the most part- the beds were comfortable, the rooms were spacious, the decor was inviting, and it was close to downtown St. Jospeh. There was a secure parking spot for one vehicle and an extra spot outside, with free parking lots nearby. The kitchen had most things, although it could benefit from some extra fry pans, a cookie sheet, and a double check to ensure that all of the dishes were clean. There were plenty of amenities and paper goods (this may have been left by the previous renters). It's directly next to a local bar/restaurant, which would have made for convenient take out. The air worked well, there were several smart TVs for use, and wifi available.
A few of the cons: Access information was not provided until I asked (although they were communicative following the request), there were not enough seats for 6 people in the living room (which doesn't make much sense, as there are 3 Queen beds), and the patio was small and seemingly unfinished. The noise on the street was pretty loud, but you really can't fault the property for that. There were a few broken or missing items (a remote for the fan, chipped glasses, hangers in the closet, hand soap). The biggest downfall was that I thought the pictures of the outside were extremely misleading. We were hoping for a beautiful view for my mom's retirement weekend and instead we were looking at several rooftops of storage facilities directly in front of the water. Due to the location on Google Maps and the pictures provided, I was under the impression that there was a river view - I didn't think to ask if there were buildings directly below us, impeding the view of the river. I honestly may have still rented this had I known, but I felt pretty tricked when we arrived.
Overall, this was a fine stay, but it could be improved upon. We were comfortable and it felt safe, but you could tell that some corners had been cut and they'd benefit from an actual picture of the outside area.
