The hotel room we stayed in, was rather large, the bed was comfortable. That is about it. I booked rooms for my husband and myself along with 3 other couples and all 3 of them were placed in rooms with beautiful views. To start off with, when I walked into our room, the air had not been turned on and it was extremely hot and stuffy. The room appeared to be clean. Our view was the view of the loading dock and a nasty roof top. While all 3 of our friends had rooms with lakefront views. The décor in our room was extremely outdated, like something from maybe the 80's and the paint colors made it look dark and dingy. The hairdryer in the restroom worked, however, it only has a cord that is about 2 or 3 ft long. You had to stand right next to the door and wall in order to be able to use it. The room did have a refrigerator. We used to cool a bottle of pop. Far from being cold. We had turned the air conditioner on when we went into the room, prior to leaving for dinner. When we returned the room was cooler, but never really got comfortable thru the night. I tasted the orange juice In the morning and found that to be disgusting. I did not bother to try the rest of the breakfast. I had stayed in a Holiday Inn Express just 2 weeks earlier and found a much nicer room and breakfast for more that half less then we paid here. Just not impressed and will check out other options when we return for another visit to St. Joseph.
