Location is ok

Posted Oct 4, 2017
Pros: Close to Metro and several restaurants.
Cons: It should start with the staff.
Location: Bastille
Out of 4 staff that we encountered during our stay, there was only 1 nice one. The one that checked us in was rude and unfriendly. The AC was broken and was blowing hot air. It was suffocating and uncomfortable sleeping at night, went downstairs and the staff flat out said it's broken and no other options. The carpet was so dirty. The sheets and bathroom was clean and that's the only nice thing.

Close to the train

Posted Sep 10, 2017
Small hotel, reasonably priced. We were on the second floor (in Paris that's up three flights of stairs). The lift was definitely a late addition, barely held the two of us. Okay, so we sent our bags up and we took the stairs. The steps were winding and fairly treacherous. On departure, the lift was out of order. On the positive, our room was spotless, the ladies were quite pleasant. Very convenient to restaurants, hop on hop off, metro and train.

This hotel is in a great location. Nice and quiet with plenty of interesting things to do nearby, but within walking distance of the centre of Paris. It has all you need for a short stay. Staff are very friendly & helpful. I had a great break here.

disappointed in the city of lights

Posted Aug 14, 2017
Pros: the updated rooms were nice.
Cons: The hotel halls, the breakfast, nd the staff.
The hotel was a long ways from the tourist attractions which was really inconvenient. The staff was polite and constantly changing. With the exception of one gentleman no one was overly nice, helpful or friendly. The rooms appeared to be recently renovated but the hall carpets and walls were terrible. Breakfast was OK but made 4 out of our 8 members sick one morning. The hotel neighbors included a sex shop and numerous homeless people. Overall, I was very disappointed in the location of the hotel and the fact that Expedia classified the hotel as a VIP +. I, in no way, would consider it even a B = Maybe a C.

Location and value

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: Location and newly redone rooms.
Cons: Staff at reception desk a bit inconsistent: some really nice, others so so. Also the carpeting in hallways showed signs of wear and tear.
Location: Walking distance to la Bastille, Marais, Jardin des Plantes. I needed to attend a soirée on Quai de la Rapee on July 4, hence why I picked this hotel.
It was the perfect stay for 3 nights close to everything I needed and the room, although small, was very comfortable and newly redone. Breakfast was abundant. Hotel staff was nice and overall a great value for a short stay.

Value for money I guess

Posted Jun 24, 2017 on Hotels
Situated close to Gare de Lyon station. Very practical to move around. I was relieved to see that the rooms had AC. Small rooms and price seem a bit on the higher side. But I guess, for Paris, it must be the norm.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your comment. Concerning the size of the room it is unfortunatelly the standard size of the parisian rooms. We hope to welcoming you back soon. Sincerely, Chargé Relations Clients

Water leak from AC and unprofessional staff

Posted Jun 23, 2017
Cons: Attitude!!! Not willing to solve problems and poor treatment to customers
This was the most terrible experience in my ENTIRE life in hotel. There was leaking from AC then water dumped from ceiling on my bed. I tried to negotiate with front desk after 15 min but she said it was IMPOSSIBLE to change another room. She said it was full that day. After waiting for another hour. I talked with her again as I saw someone checking out. She was so reluctant and let me wait another 10 min to change a room. That room also had leaking problem and she refused to change ANYTHING. There is no boiler, drier etc. in that room as well. I am writing these words not for compensation. I just don't want anybody have the same experience as I did, especially tourists using Expedia to find a hotel. I understood this was an incident not her fault, but her attitude was really unprofessional and unfriendly. Hotel was so expensive in Paris but never waste any money or time in this hotel since it would drive you crazy
