This is a great little hotel in a convenient and fun location. The Bastille-Saint Antoine area has heaps going on and its within easy walk to most things. There's also a bike hire stand right near the hotel for those for whom walking is a chore!

Lovely little hotel

Posted Oct 1, 2016
Cons: The size of the room, but then again, it is Paris.
Location: So many good restaurants nearby. Chez Paul and L'Aubergeade are just two we visited. Convenient to the metro.
Very nicely appointed hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Clean room and comfortable bed, separate toilet and bathroom. Close to the metro and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

Easy to get to Metro and Gare de Lyon

Posted Jul 13, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Quiet. Clean.
Cons: The shower is small. I don't think they can change it. But people should be aware that it is tiny. But isn't so different than other places in France.
Location: I was only there for a night. There are many restaurants near by that are more interesting than the usually Bistro Fare.
Hotel staff was super friendly. Nicer than all of the places I stayed during my month long trip to Europe.

Decent Hotel

Posted Apr 9, 2016 on Hotels
I was only at this hotel for one night because I got to Paris a day earlier than expected. I got there late, and didn't adventure around the neighborhood much. I was alone and I went to look for food but everything was closed when I was out, probably around 10 pm. I was really thrown off by this hotel at first because the lights on each floor were emotion activated. I considered ordering room service but they charged 5 euro for orders after a certain time, 10 p.m. I believe, and the menu was pricey to begin with. The rooftop deck would have been nice in the morning, but wasn't usable in the evening, I couldn't even find a light. They did have some TV channels in English though, which was nice because it was a little too late to explore the city. Bathrooms were very pretty and clean.

Dear Guest, I thank you for the time you took to share your experience after your stay at the Mercure Paris Bastille Saint Antoine Hotel. I am sorry to hear that you could not enjoy Paris after 10pm, the Faubourg Saint Antoine (a couple meters away from the Hotel) is usually a lively neighbourhood. Beautiful room to stay in and enjoy our time in Paris. Walking distance to Notre Dame or very close to the Metro to access all of the main attractions. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

Great position great staff

Posted Aug 2, 2015
Pros: It's was small but friendly and well appointed
Cons: No everything was fone
Location: Location could not have been better
The hotel was so close to lots of shops and cafes and very easy to get to. It was close enough to the Gare de Lyon to walk even with luggage. The staff made us feel at home, booked us into a super restaurant close by and did everything possible to make our stay comfortable. We would stay here again

Noisy, musty and dark

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Staff were friendly and helpful
Cons: The decor, especially in the hallways, is very dark. There is also a musty smell that is not camouflaged by the heavy use of air freshener.
Location: Plenty of good food options
The foyer is small but nice enough. The corridors are papered in dark brown wallpaper which makes them very dim and unwelcoming. A strong musty smell pervades the corridors, despite a lot of air freshener that is actually cloying and unpleasant. Our room was a good size, by Parisian standards, but had an odd configuration. The toilet was set off the entry while the bathroom led off the bedroom. This meant walking through the bedroom to wash ones hands because there was no basin in the toilet. The bed was comfortable. We got little sleep because the noise from outside was very loud, despite the roller shutters. We stayed 2 nights but would have moved to a different hotel because of the noise if we were staying longer.
