Great hotel right on the harbor! The staff was so awesome and helpful! If we ever get back to the area that is where we would stay! Best cookies in town!

Away from the clamor of town

This hotel is a few miles away from the noise, crowd, and litter of Berkeley near the campus. If you like a more genteel setting then you will like this hotel.

Nice hotel close to the marina. Beautiful views.

Pros: Spacious rooms.
Cons: Update decor and furniture.
Location: Near marina, near shopping and water activities.
One night stay was pleasant. Enjoyed views of SF bay. Easy to walk around the water.

Pretty nice and comfortable and great veiw of the bay. Charge 20 to park every day and big fluctuations in pricing paid 90 on Su day and 300 on Monday

Nice location for the bay view not to stay

Pros: large bed and large room
Cons: more signs not to lost your way more information about the gym, room / bar, etc.at the check inn/
No views from the windows. My room was in the 4th building. It was too far to the lobby. not enough amenities in the room: no slippers, no shower caps., no water bottle. ( 2 vending mahcine were even not working!!) I called room service to bring the water but they told me to use the vending machine. The bar, you don't feel like to have some drink. I did not get any information for the hotel facilities not even about the restaurant. I did not find the hotel booklet in my room, so I did not use any! Terrible experience.

Had breakfast on patio looking at the water, watching boats come and go.... Very relaxing

They charged do3 parking is unacceptable. Room had sraima on floor

This hotel needs a remodel, badly. Every single piece of furniture in the room was worn down/missing paint/stained/etc. The hallways even have an old musty smell (thankfully the room did not). If it weren't for the great Staff and nice location, I think it would have a much lower rating. For the price and the fact this is a Doubletree, I was expecting a little nicer accomodations.

Unreasonable cancellation policy

I apparently made a mistake on the date I booked. I immediately notified the hotel that I wanted to cancel and they refused to allow the cancellation even though it was weeks ahead of the date.
