Wouldn't stay there again

They double charged me for one night. Please check you online bank after few days.the food was not good. Found hair in bathroom. Would not stay here again.

By the River

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff, late breakfast times.
Location: Lovely views of the river by the side of the hotel and lovely walks and boat rides.
River front so great for walks by the river. Only a 20 minute walk into Reading town centre.

Nice hotel

Very nice hotel situated on the River Thames. Hotel is of a very good standard. However, we were unlucky as there were problems with the heating in the pool area making the poor quite cold. We did have problems with no hot water in the room for about half an hour. Breakfast was good. We were offered a discount on check out but we had pre-paid for the room. They said we could have the discount next time we stayed. It just happened that I need to stay in Reading again this week. We telephone the hotel about 8 hrs ago and are still awaiting a return call telling us what the room cost will be!

Unfortunately stay spoils by wedding part disco into early hours....just below my room ...hotel was full therefore I was unable to change rooms

Good Stay

Pros: Location both shopping but superb access to Thames path and cruises.
Cons: It would be good to have tourist information in the foyer, their staff hadn't got a clue where my friend and I could go other than shopping!
Location: Cruise on Thames not available weekdays outside of school holidays. Maple Durham House (Toad Hall) but check opening days. Pangbourne.
Second visit so new what to expect. Great location, very clean and friendly staff. A few niggles but not worthy to state as a negative comment.

Nice central location

Pros: Nice to sit outside facing the river having a leisurely drink. Very relaxing for pre dinner drink or to sit after breakfast. Nice 12pm checkout time
Cons: If you have paid for breakfast coffee is included but only regular coffee. If you want latte or something like that you have to pay. should be inc.
Location: Griffin pub over bridge round corner very nice atmosphere and good pub food
Stayed for one night. Nice location by the river and a 15 min walk into town. Best route into town is to walk over Caversham Bridge and then walk along river following signs to the station. Walk thru or round station and then you're in town. Otherwise you will walk along very busy noisy road and not so nice. Try to get room on river side as the other side very noisy if you sleep with the window open Sauna jacuzzi and steam room very nice

Nice hotel with lovely, helpful staff

Nice room and great service. The staff on reception were very helpful, especially when the wifi went down, they even called my room to let me know it was back up and running. Room service was great - good quality food delivered in a reasonable time. Not much to add about the room itself. Once hotel room blends into another after a while. But it did come with a fridge which was handy in the warmer weather.
