Nice hotel close to town centre

Posted Nov 28, 2016
Just 10 minutes walk from the centre of Windsor, it's a great place to stay. Just remember your earplugs as, Luke anywhere in Windsor, it suffers from aircraft noise! Bed was firm but comfortable. Breakfast was ok - semi cooked to order.

Nice hotel close to the "Long Walk"

Posted Sep 29, 2016
10 minute walk from the Castle and town centre. Stairs with no lift. Full English breakfast is included. Great access to the "Long Walk" which is a great way to approach the castle. Staff is friendly and pleasant.

Small hotel with a good breakfast

Posted Sep 20, 2016
Pros: The breakfast was very good.
Cons: It would be nice if they would honor a reduction in the room rate instead of just saying 'you agreed to the higher rate'.
Location: Located across the road from Long Walk in Great Park, within easy walking distance to Windsor Castle, Train Station, Eton, shopping and restaurants.
Pleasant staff, nice modern room, very good breakfast included. Hotel within walking distance of all the major tourist attractions, across the road from the Long Walk and Great Park

Lovely hotel for weekend break in Windsor

Posted Sep 19, 2016
Pros: Convenient location, parking available (at extra charge and if you book in advance), good quality rooms with space
Cons: It felt like the walls in the hotel were quite thin - didn't bother me but I could imagine it could get a bit noisy
Location: Very convenient for the long walk with great views of the castle. 10 minute walk to the central shopping area and river
Stayed there on a Saturday night in September with a party of 6. Good service and nice location. No complaints

Centrally-located hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2016
Pros: Location, staff, cleanliness, room, breakfast.Good location for a short break
Cons: Parking, updating of fixtures and fittings
Location: Windsor Castle/St George's Chapel, Frogmore House (when open), walks in Windsor Great Park, Savill Garden, Runnymede, Eton (College currently closed)
The hotel is in an old building so allowances need to be made - there is no lift and access to the bedroom was via steep flights of stairs. The room though small was comfortable although some of the fittings need updating e.g. loose catches on the window. Bathroom was fine and the breakfasts were good with food freshly cooked to order and not the dreaded hot (i.e lukewarm) buffet breakfast that you often find. The staff were polite and efficient. Parking is a bit of an issue with limited spaces in a small car park which have to be pre-booked and cost extra - fortunately I had done so as Windsor is not a great place for low-cost parking. The hotel is in walking distance of the main sights being very close to the Long Walk and Castle. Eton is also within 15 minutes walking distance and the more adventurous can easily walk into the Great Park from the hotel. I didn't need to use the car during my 2 day stay

Old hotel with lots of stairs

Posted Jul 7, 2016 on Hotels
Plesent staff on reception, £15 to park but luckily got a space on the street Residents parking 8am to 8Pm so as long as you move before 8am should be no issue. Old hotel with lots of stairs so would not recomend if you have mobility issues.

Lovely find in Windsor

Lovely historic hotel. A 5 min walk to Windsor Castle. Had parking for a fee if you rented a car which is unusual for that area. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Had an outside patio. Perfect for the summer.

Dissapointed with room ground floor along side of car park. walls very thin and lot of noise from another room so didnt get much sleep. Breakfast very good and all very clean dont think will go there again Ithink where they say you will be charged by the hotel £-- it should include extra charges so you know how much total

Guests need to remember to book car parking separately with the hotel, as booking a room does not mean you get a car park space!

Gorgeous hotel, just outside Windsor city centre!

Posted Jun 29, 2016
Beautiful looking hotel! The duck egg blue Adelaide is a real catch when it comes to city break hotels! The staff are very welcoming... And the hotel itself is just great... Defiantly a place to to stay if Windsor is the place for you :)
