Tolle Lage, aber in die Jahre gekommen

Posted Jun 12, 2015

Wonderful Week in Berlin

Posted May 13, 2015 on Hotels
Great location in Prenzlauer Berg, transport, supermarket, cafes and restaurants - all in a minute walk. Very friendly owners. The spacious and bright apartment, fully equipped kitchen - all have cooking facilities, nice and quiet courtyard, all made our stay in Berlin is very quiet. It is also a very important point - a very fast internet. We will recommend this apartment to all our friends.

I do not recommend

Posted Apr 8, 2015 on Hotels
The photos must have been taken when it was first remodeled. The apartment looks shabby. The lighting is horrible and there are no outlets in the bathroom to plug in an appliance to do your hair and there is no outlet near the one other mirror, which is in the front room, with no window and poor lighting. The bathroom is so tiny that it is uncomfortable. We were 5 people and they gave us a really bad folding bed for the fifth person, but when we insisted, they brought in one that was better. There was nowhere for the 5 of us to gather together, no couch and the kitchen was too small, with the table up against two walls. It was uncomfortable in general, we couldn't hang out together. Basically, they took a one bedroom apartment and turned the living room into a bedroom by placing a mattress on top of a futon couch. They used curtains to seperate the two "bed"rooms so there are no doors except on the bathroom. The one good thing was that it was very close to public transportation and the neighborhood seemed nice enough. Compared with the 4 other apartments we stayed in on this trip to Europe, I felt that the people renting didn't care about us. One of them told me I couldn't use the washer and the other said I could. We were told we could not use the towels that were in the closet, only the ones they had hung on the hooks. We were allowed two thin, old, dingy towels per person.

Two large bedrooms. Small kitchen and bathroom. Quiet - no noise from trafic. Not much day light in the apartment. Nice playground on the other side of the road. Close to supermarket and restaurants. If you have children 4-10 years old and it rains go to the nearby childrens museum.

Som beskrevet

Posted Aug 4, 2014 on Hotels
Parkering i området koster, men ellers god beliggenhed.

Great Apartment in Berlin

Julia so sweet. I forgot to change currency at TXL, and she allowed me 2 days before coming to retrieve payment, because she can’t accept cards. But it takes a while to update your Welcome Rewards account status. The location is great, just a 2-minute walk to the M2 tram. Lots to eat nearby. Okay park across the street. Neighborhood is quiet at night (lots of families/kids) and safe. Not too much noise, even though there’s a bar next door. You really don't need a car in Berlin, but she provides one free parking spot. Really close to the grocery store, good because you have a nearly full kitchen, and pharmacy. You don’t have a stove or dryer, which wasn’t a big deal for me. If you run out of toilet paper or paper towels, you need to go to the store, but it’s less than a 10-minute walk away. I was only offered 1 free cleaning (for a nearly month-long stay), and I wish that she offered service at least once a week, especially given the price. Cleaning staff was really nice, taking my laundry out of the washer and hanging it to dry without me asking, and thorough. TV has one English-speaking channel (BBC), but you can watch TV/films on the internet, because the apartment has free WiFi. Make sure you get a VPN if you’re coming from the U.S. or a lot of websites won’t work. Beds are comfy and there’s extra bedding, if you want to change it. Looks just like the pictures. I will have my husband and two kids (ages 8 and 9) next time, perfect for family of four.

God bellighed - dårlig indretning

Posted Oct 20, 2013 on Hotels
