Hotel is impeccably clean and spacious. Rooms also spacious.
About 15 min walk from Checkpoint Charlie and other attractions. A 5-minute walk from U station and 8 minute walk from S station. However, it is clearly aimed at business trips and conferences.
Reception could do with a few artworks on the walls, it looks very clinical. Hotel is extremely quiet, no ambience music or anything.
Stayed two nights. The first morning, we left a non-disturb sign on the door. On the way back from breakfast two housekeepers were just about to enter our room even though the sign was still there.
The second morning, we would be checking out in a few hours. Back from breakfast at about 9:30 am, we met a housekeeper knocking at our door asking if we would be checking out that day. Certainly they have reports showing who is checking out, or they receive alerts from the reception, no need for personally confirming with the guests?
Breakfast buffet was plenty and a chef prepares omelets on demand. You can help yourself to a selection of teas but will have to ask the staff for coffee.Pastries didn't look appetizing. Everything else was fabulous, smoothies were an excellent touch.
Overall a good stay. Would come back for a business trip, definitely not for leisure. Reception staff, although very polite, could do with some cheering up. This is our 4th trip to Berlin, usually, reception staff makes attempts at small conversation, some sort of warm welcome.
