Exzellentes Preis/Leistung Verhältnis. Große Zimmer, sehr sauber, tolles Restaurant und herzliche Bedienung an der Hotelbar. Werde es bei nächsten Besuchen in Potsdam priorisieren.

Disappointing
Lock down means water tank probably went green. At least that's what I assume was responsible for the colour of the water in my room. I was told I was the only one complaining and I'd understand if it was a shade off clear, but it was really very dirty/yellowish-green, more like collected rain water... Toilet dirty as a result, but also had a black stain on a towel and cleaning was rather falling short... Anyhow, things are upside everywhere so maybe they'll get back on track, but for now I would avoid. Restaurant shut I assume early but told me they closed the kitchen 7mn before I called which would have been 9.20pm which is a bit of an odd time... It just felt like no one wanted to be there... There are other options around I have enjoyed more. And the water issue needs to be fixed!! Granted it was cheap, but at least it should be clean...

It was okay nothing special. The room was enough big, clean, but it isn’t a four stars hotel. I did not find any information of facilities ( breakfast, gym...etc) No tee or coffe.

The rooms are very clean and nice but are basic. The staff are lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us. Food is great but the menu is in German only. The area it’s self is not really for tourists. However it is quite and there is a tram across from the hotel which can take you to Potsdam town center which has excellent rail links to Berlin and all over Germany.

Hotel Ascot Bristol - recommended
Easy check in, no problems. Room typical of Germany, good facilities, clean, well presented. No iron in the hotel room was my only criticism.

Potsdam -- Definitely Worth A Visit.
We could have stayed a few more days to explore more thoroughly some of the marvelous historical buildings and architecture Potsdam has to offer.

Enjoyed our stay.
Nice, clean, inexpensive hotel. No air conditioning so we bought a little fan. Some other hotels in Europe provide a fan and that would be a good idea for this hotel. Nice restaurant and bar. Breakfast is well worth the money.

Nice hotel
Overall it was a good hotelroom and a very big one. We had a room with handicap ability even though we didnt need it. Free parking, nice staff. The only thing I thought was negative was that the ventilation could have been a litle better, it was a litle hot in the room (32°C outside), and the room had a bad smell but not unbearable.

Good hotel, great location
This was a very good hotel. No frills, but all the necessities are there. Very well located on the tram and bus stop; 15 minute commute to the Griebnitzsee S-Bahn station and university campus. Beware that this makes the location very noisy - if you're staying when it's warm and need to have the windows open during the night, bring earplugs. However the windows are extremely well sound-proofed so it's not a problem otherwise. I had an accessible room (though I don't need it) and it seemed much more accessible than other accessible rooms I've stayed in - with call buttons everywhere and wide doorways. It was impressive. WiFi was also great.

I recommend this hotel.
Above average hotel for its rating. Close to shops with parking out the front subject to there being a space. I had no problem. The staff were excellent.

Spent one night here in the end of my Germany road-trip. The hotel was easy to find, and had free parking outside the hotel. The room was very nice and big, with a large and modern bathroom.

Easy to find and great accommodation. The room was huge which for a family was just right after a long journey. Simple but comfortable for the price. It was clean throughout. Definitely worth paying for the breakfast! Would look up this hotel for my next journey.

Although located in the outskirts of the city this is not an issue given the fantastic public transport system. The room and ensuite bathroom were spacious and very clean. The beds were very comfortable.The staff were efficient and pleasant.Excellent value for money.

good but far from Messe and taxi service is not good. it is well contected to tram/rail system, and it is much better to use this than taxi
