Good base to explore Berlin

Cons: It could have been made clearer what items required payment.We assumed (wrongly) that items left on the top of the fridge were complimentary!
Location: As above. There were some good cafes and eateries within easy reach. The museums were also a short walk away.
The hotel provided a good base from which to explore the city. Its location was excellent - a ten minute walk from Museum Island and river, very close to a main station (easy access to Potsdam and U-bahn to Potsdamer Platz) and a short walk to Unter Den Linden and TXL bus to Tegel airport. Opposite the hotel is an excellent bookstore, open to 11.00pm most nights.The room was spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool and sauna were very welcome at the end of a busy day foot-slogging. The staff were very helpful and courteous.

Very elegant and wonderful friendly staff.

Overall hotel staff were very accomodating and hotel perfectly placed for our weekend break from ireland. Only negative we would have liked tea/coffee facilities in room . Otherwise room was well equipped and comfy.

Rude staff and mouldy bathroom

Pros: Well located and good breakfast
Cons: Provide the staff with some customer service training.
Location: Central for Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate and Tiergarten
The hotel is well located for access to the historical centre of Berlin. However, it is dated and could do with a complete renovation. We found the front desk staff extremely rude and the duty manager even more so when we had issues with the "high speed" internet. It is definitely not high speed - do not pay to use it. Our shower had mould on the wall and ceiling. We didn't use the leisure facilities - from literature in the room, it seems you now have to pay extra for this service. We would not recommend a stay here.

Nice hotel walking to many sights in Berlin
