Expedia ripped me off this time

Hotel is located in city center however very old buidling under construction, good for business people for a night , however this hotel does no suit family or leisure, how can a superior room of the hotel could be as big as 24 sq max , i booked the room for my cousin and his wife with 5 year old child,
It was extremly disappointment for the amount i paid. eventually i ended up paying 75€ extra for the upgrade.
I blame expedia fo advertising such Hotel for such high rate ,
Hotel staff was helpful, however no 4* service is available.
We went out for dinner and when we came back key didnt work ( surprise ) next day on check out hotel staff compensated us with no mini bar charge n free parking ,
Could have done better !!!! I wont recommend this hotel to anyone nor i will ever return or book through expedia again

First of all, the Hotel isn’t under renovations and can only apologize for the construction site in operation to the connecting building near to the Hotel. Any inconvenience caused by the construction can only be apologized and compensated for during your stay.
After over viewing your renovation, I see that when you booked with Expedia, you booked a standard sized room in the house with the intention of arriving with 2 more adults, and a Child. On the Expedia website and the Expedia agencies, we advertise a different range of rooms from size and styles. With the intention of arriving with 4 people in total a simple change in the reservation or an email to the Hotel with the specific information could of changed any unnecessary complications for you and your family.
Moreover, technical complications with Keys are not regular but the keys are very sensitive when placed near a mobile phone or credit cards. Please be aware that contacting our friendly front office team before entering the rooms can prevent any problems regarding Keys, just to double check they work.
After being compensated kindly by the Hotel and with very sincere apologies from the mistakes by the reservation and Expedia, the Hotel would itself like to apologize to you on what was conceived as a bad stay for you, please when staying with the hotel chain in the future ask specifically things with us to save any false services or implications to your reservation.
