Spacious,elegant suite with a kitchen.Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: Spacious, elegant and comfortable hotel in a great location.
Location: The U Bahn is steps away making it easy to get around. The hotel is walking distance to Brandenburg Gate,Checkpoint Charlie, etc.
Too bad we were only in Berlin for one night,as this hotel would be the perfect place to call home for a longer visit. It is centrally located, and steps from the U Bahn (subway). For what one often pays for an average room, the Mandala Suites offers a large, elegantly furnished suite with a kitchenette, separate toilet and bath/shower,and a comfortable living room with doors and windows out to 2 balconies. The softly lit breakfast room is simply gorgeous, and the breakfast options were the most interesting and healthy that I'd experienced anywhere in Germany. It offers views of the city and a comfortable sofa,as well, should you wish to hang out a read the complimentary newspapers. We used the gym, which has a great view of the city and offers 2 saunas and showers. All in all,a wonderful choice for a stay in Berlin, long or short.

Clean cosmodern hotelPosted Sep 21, 2015
Cons: More free bikes to borrow for short trips!
Location: Too many to count. You will be in the heart of Berlin!
This is the third time we've stayed here. The hotel location is central for great walking or cycling opportunites, and is right on the U-Bahn route. Nice restaurants and coffee houses are close by. The staff is very professional and helpful, with the exception of one staff, who seemed a little nervous and was unable to accomodate anything except the most structured activities. we found work arounds in these situations. The rooms are spacious, quiet, well appointed, and everything operates as it's supposed to! We liked the spa area as a place to sit, stretch, relax and enjoy a cup of tea. There is also a small gym, totally functional. Are experiences over three visits have been consistent.

Super Hotel; klare EmpfehlungPosted Aug 13, 2015

Spacious and well located city apartmentPosted Jul 28, 2015
Pros: Centrally located, but very quiet. Spacious, clean and modern.
Cons: I really can't think of anything!
Location: 5 mins walk to the Gendarmenmarkt, & about 10 mins to Unter den Linden, Reichstag, Tiergarten, the Holocaust memorial, Potsdam and Checkpoint Charlie.
The Mandala Suites are easily accessible by public transport from Berlin Tegel airport and the journey by bus & train takes 30 - 40 minutes and cost about 2 Euro's 40. (See google maps for journey details). The Suites were no more than a couple of minutes walk from the U-bahn 'Mitte' station. Our apartment looked out over a courtyard, was clean, spacious and had all mod cons. The wifi was better than the one we have at home and the staff were extremely helpful. The Suites were centrally located, within easy (walkable) reach of all main East & West Berlin historic sights although we ventured further afield on hired bikes and easily and safely found our way around using mainly marked out cycle lanes. Berlin is full of interesting sights and museums from the 2nd World War and war damage and the Berlin Wall are still very much remembered and in evidence. There are also plenty of pavement cafe's, ice cream and coffee & cake shops when a rest is needed. The Mall of Berlin - a large indoor shopping centre, was a couple of minutes walk from our door. I can't recommend it highly enough!
