Nice hotel and friendly staff!

We initially booked our 1 year anniversary at the Hamilton Princess through Expedia, however upon check-in we realized our room was much smaller/older than we had hoped for. We were staying for 7 days so wanted something a little bigger/newer. The property has remodeled most of the rooms, but there is still one wing of the hotel that is older and outdated. We spoke to the front desk and they offered us a deal direct through the hotel that got us in a larger room with a balcony/water view, as well as access to the Gold Room. I would highly recommend inquiring about the Gold Room. It's a private club area that offers complimentary breakfast, afternoon snacks, dinner appetizers, and desserts throughout the day. They also provide complimentary wine/alcohol/beverages, which was a plus, because we could go in whenever we wanted to relax and sit on the balcony in the sun and snack/drink at our leisure. Also the staff in the Gold Room were so nice and accommodating.
The property has a fabulous salt water infinity pool, and a fantastic Exhale spa and gym. Be sure to ask about the Exhale Barre classes.
The only semi-negative review I have is that the hotel is not near the beach, and the private "Princess" beach requires a free shuttle that takes about 25 mins. I would recommend going to the public beaches Horseshoe Bay and Elbow Beach on your own. They are spectacular! Also, the food on property was decent but we ventured into town most nights and would recommend Red's Steakhouse.
