The water taxi took us to Hamilton with no problem. The Captain was very friendly, made sure we had a direction in mind for our time in Hamilton. Also the shuttle to the beach was great! The beach was picture perfect. The hotel restaurant had the best food we had while in Bermuda, and all staff were friendly, kind and most helpful.

I have been coming to Newstead for three years and it has always been wonderful. This stay however, was not as wonderful. Our second day, the fire alarm went off in our room twice during the night, and we were unable to reach any staff member. Other than that, the staff was very nice and our room was great.

What I liked about the Newstead: 1) Centralized location on the island. 2) Friendly and extremely reactive staff. (Asked for extra blankets and we had them within 5 minutes) 3) Water ferry to Hamilton. It's on a limited schedule but still convenient. 4) 2 Bedroom Suites more than accommodated 8 of us. There was actually 2.5 baths (2 full bathrooms and 1 powder room). I wasn't expecting the extra half bathroom which was a pleasant surprise. Rooms were clean and big and the patios were comfortable with nice view of the harbor. There was a small kitchenette which proved to be quite convenient as well. 5) Round of golf is provided. Just have to pay for cart. 6) Satellite TV had almost every channel imaginable. 7) Master bedroom had jacuzzi tub. What I didn't like about the Newstead: 1) There's was only one restaurant on site that was open (it was the off season and the other restaurants actually required a shuttle to get there) 2) You need to take a 5 minute shuttle to golf course and the other resort restaurants. It's free and they are always on call but sometimes it's just easier to walk if allowed. 3) Pool is not heated. Would have been great to use in January. 4) The exterior appeared a little dated and the rooms decor leaned toward the older side. 5) Only had breakfast at the restaurant, Auroras, but I felt service was bit slow. We were the only ones there and it took quite a while for food to arrive. However servers were quite friendly and cordial.

Staff very helpful and cordial. On site dining options limited. Required the use of their shuttle service to get to beach or other dining options. Good that mini fridge was in the room but I think microwave should be provided aa well.

This was an excellent facility and the room was laid out very well. This room has much more space than most hotel rooms I have been in. You have the ability to take care of yourself by cooking, storing food etc. The only complaint we tried to order room service for breakfast and the phone was never answered so we ended up going to the restaurant for breakfast. The spa was excellent as we had a couples massage. Wonderful facility. We did not require transportation but the other guests looked like they were well taken care of.

Newstead Belmont is just located across from Hamilton town and we were able to make use of their daily ferry across to Hamilton; staff were all warm, friendly and welcoming particularly the ferry captain and front desk officer who went above and beyond. Thank you! Rooms were a bit damp and dated but to be expected for this climate; we loved our stay and would book again when we are in Bermuda.

Newstead Bellmont had wonderful large suites with great views of the Harbor. We enjoyed the ferry service to Hamilton as well as the quick access to Coco Beach directly from the hotel. And service from front desk, room service, pool bar/food, etc... were all friendly & helpful!

We loved the location, the infinity pool, the views and the shuttle service to the beach & Hamilton. The pool was too warm and the pool bar closed too early.

Beautiful resort with incredible views and pool. The staff were very helpful and polite. The ferry to and from Hamilton, tho limited, was perfectly convienant. The hotel shuttle to the beach and golf course was convenient but (for other travels) be prepared to use taxis alot as the bus stop is a walk away. We had food delivered from the store that the hotel staff put in our fridge while we were out and Auroras breakfast/dinner options were delicious. Our hoisekeeping service was incredible, and adorable as she decorated our daughters bed with their stuffys every day (it was so cute !). My only issue is we had some small ants in the and some previous water damage to the wood floors in our room. That was a bit disappointing as this was a very costly stay. Otherwise amazing stay and would highly recommended.

The Newstead is stunning. The rooms are large and clean with large balconies. The infinity pool looks over Hamilton harbor and has amazing sunsets. We made use of the water shuttle to Hamilton and beach shuttle everyday. The use of beach amenities (chairs/umbrellas/drink service) at the Coco Reef were appreciated. The onsite restaurants were excellent.

I'm in love with the sunset from the restaurant it was so beautiful and breathtaking also the view is one in a million just beautiful. The property and room is clean. It was my 2nd wedding anniversary and I'm so happy I choose this hotel definitely will be going back from another visit.

The amenities Newstead provides are a plus when considering where to stay in Bermuda. Getting around the island can be difficult; however the shuttle service and water shuttle service make it fairly easy. The staff are professional, helpful and pleasant. We dined at the restaurant hotel, which was fairly good—I might suggest a seafood option. Overall a wonderful stay; hoping to return in the future.

What a view!
A great room (1 bedroom suite) in a nice hotel with an awesome swimming pool. Couldn't get the kids out of it! We didn't eat other than kids meals but the food looked good and the drinks were cold!

Loved the quietness, the ability to take a shuttle to town, although wish there was more times. The front desk messed up a lot with our trasportation and didnt seem knowledgable about a lot of things. The maid service was terrific and very knowledgeable and helpful. Rioms were gorgeous and very clean.

Positives: The Deluxe studio was fantastic (nice view, clean and spacious). Pool was spacious and great view of the harbour. Restaurant staff were nice and attentive. Other guests were friendly. Negatives: The front desk staff and shuttle were horrible. Not very helpful or attentive. Shuttle from Coco Reef to Newstead took over an hour to arrive. Front desk staff were not helpful with booking information on the $15 airport shuttle. Nor did they notify us of our taxi arriving to pick us up. Front desk staff was the low point. Compared to Coco Reef front desk staff were excellent and very attentive when we were stuck waiting for the shuttle from Newstead. We do not recommend this resort.

Stunning view. Wonderful pool. Excellent restaurant. Convenient water taxi to Hamilton and land shuttle to Belmont Hills and Coco Reef. Use of the amenities at Coco Reef was especially appreciated.

Our stay was very nice. The only complaint we had was that the restaurant manager was reprimanding his employees in front of the guests. This is demeaning to the employee themselves and totally inappropriate to do in front of dining guests. He ranted about how the "back" was a mess and other issues. An older gentleman with an accent. Someone needs to speak to him.

Excellent stay. My second time her but disappointing that there is no recycling as we are used to and had gathered all our recyclables! Also we were on the ground floor near the water and my sister spotted a rat outside the rooms late at night. I advised the office which they appropriately advised they would deal with. Never seen such a thing at any resort I have been to in the Carribean!

The sighting of a rat on the grounds of the property is highly unusual, although Bermuda, being a sub-tropical climate, does unfortunately, have this species here. We are vigilant in our controls to ensure that the hotel is free of these types of unwanted guests. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention; we have alerted our operations team in order to address this outside issue immediately.
