When i first arrived at the hotel I thought it was quaint , my daughter and I walked up the 4 flights of stairs to reach the room , the bathroom was at the end of the hallway which I had never experienced so I was somewhat intrepid about our stay at the hotel.
We went on our tour on the cog train to the mountain and returned late in the afternoon, the small shop across from the hotel was open and we drank hot chocolate , the street was quiet , and inviting .
This was the BEST nights sleep of any of the hotels we stayed in on my 2 week visit to my daughter who was studying in Florence for the semester . The wood ceiling was relaxing and quaint , the bathroom was clean and as it turned out I had no issues . In the morning I awoke to a wonderful view through the window , I was so surprised that I opened the window ,letting the fresh mountain air drift into the room. It was wonderful.....there is no question that out of all the " high end " hotels , i preferred this the most . The lady who made breakfast was kind and very helpful..I will go back some day and stay again .
