Wonderful hotel with great views of the Jungfrau. Wengen is a great location for exploring the Lauterbrunnen Valley and the surrounding area.

Take my word for it, this is the best place to stay not just in Wengen, but the entire region. In terms of convenience, you are basically overlooking the train station. There is also a Coop just around the corner so you can stock up on snacks and coffee before hoping on the train back to Lauterbrunnen or up to Kleine Schiedegg. The staff were lovely and did a fantastic job of keeping my room fresh and comfortable. Some notes about the room itself.. it's perfect if you are just using the room to rest before heading out for the next day. The bathroom was missing an outlet (or at least I couldn't find it) which made using hair tools an issue, although there is a hair dryer mounted on the wall. I'm a big fan of coffee, so a Keurig machine or other instant coffee maker would have been the cherry on top for this hotel, but that didn't take away from my enjoyment. The balcony overlooked the mountains, and I often sat there and had a small dinner to myself, taking in the sights and listening to the sounds of the village. I was completely at peace here, and I would definitely stay here again.

Sits at edge if town. Very short walk from the train station and town. Staff freindly and helpful. Mountain view rooms have excellent views. Brkfst is very good.

Loved the staff, location of hotel and the food at the restaurant is amazing. I would recommend to make dinner reservations in advanced they can be booked if you try same day.

Best two single bed rooms with the best view in town by far. Who needs a spa when you see pure Switzerland from one of highest in town. Perfect position to the train station and super market Just unhappy that the train driver said we should have stayed in the fancy finish spa hotel not the antique hotel For me it was all about the view we had from two rooms Breakfast is too small and suggest a buffet and toast Dinner too expensive as went to town to listen to other people tips and tricks Don’t forget to pay city tax when leaving and should have booked train tickets in advance as to pay for a now train is expensive Town car park is best planned idea in town - well done Loved my time there and will return

Old and Dirty hotel. Horrible attitude from staff, very misleading with regards to SPA which they have but don’t actually allow you to utilize. It’s okay that it’s a historic property; however, that should not excuse or otherwise diminish the value of cleanliness in which this hotel was terribly lacking. Hotel staff was indifferent and refused to help despite multiple (normal) requests. Just rude staff complaining about their jobs in front of guests and spreading that negativity throughout the property. This hotel ruined our otherwise lovely experience of Wengen. We regret having stayed there

Great view!
Amazing view of the Lauterbrunnen Valley from my rooms balcony. Very good breakfast. Very friendly staff and clean rooms. Will stay again!

The hotel is okay, a bit dated. My room was small and extremely dark. And there was only 1 plug, which was already fully utilized for the lamp and TV, so I couldn't easily charge my phone. They did eventually send up someone with an extra floor lamp, but that blew a fuse within a few minutes of him plugging it in. On the plus side, the front desk service was exceptionally friendly and good. And the shuttle to/from the station is very prompt. The restaurant was okay, though VERY expensive, even by Swiss standards. For a small steak with sauce and 2 sides, 2 small glasses of wine, and a small bottle of water, they charged me CHF110. No wonder the place was deserted on Valentine's Day. The ski room was handy, but note this is not really a ski in - ski out resort. You still have to walk down the hill to the gondola and station.

Nice hotel but it is not a ski in and out for sure. Hill to walk up too after all day of skiing and slippery surface. Food very expensive in the restaurant but not the best quality. Do not order sushi.

Property in the Victorian Style was accurate! Very quiet but end of January. Breakfast buffet: cereal, tinned fruit, juice, tea, coffee, bacon, scrambled eggs, buns, bread and jam, so basic. Near station. Eleven position. Great views. Price reasonable for Wengen. Steam room and sauna open 5pm till 7pm: naked.

Unbelievable view
The room had an unbelievable view from the balcony of the valley below, highlighted by the waterfall in Lauterbrunnen. Only a 3-4 minute walk from the train station. Staff super friendly and helpful about hiking trails and other activities in the area. The air conditioning had been turned off for the season and the room was a little warm. Would definitely recommend this to someone looking for a hotel in the area.

Great value, comfortable stay
We had a lovely stay here in May 2019. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful and we took pictures from our balcony every morning; the weather alters the look of the mountains. We had a lovely (if quiet) dinner in the hotel restaurant and all of the hotel staff bent over backwards to make sure that we had everything we needed. Our hotel room was slightly dated, but very comfortable and we slept well with the window open to the mountain air. Overall, a great stay with excellent value.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff
Pros: Incredible helpful local staff. The owner Guido and his wife Ariane were lovely people who took in an interest in our itinerary and advised us of great local activities he hadn't even thought of such as Trummelbach falls in Lauterbrunnen. We changed our sightseeing plans based on their invaluable advice about the local weather changes in the mountains, local train schedules etc. Since Wenger is very small everyone is very kind and helpful and they knew all the local tour operators. Additionally the breakfast spread is spectacular. Eric the manager even upgraded us from one room to two rooms with multiple balconies with spectacular views! Wifi was also good. Cons: This is an old glamorous historic hotel that needs some updates (which I see as a pro). It will not have all the modern luxuries one may want. There was definitely times the bathroom smelled funny and needed more upkeep or the phones didn't work. Overall we loved it and would stay here again!

Classic hotel takes you back in time. Great staff, clean and comfortable. Close to station which Is helpful. Great views from rooms. Could use a bit of update here and there.

Harks back to a bygone era, Belle Epoque Hotel.
Great position , very friendly family atmosphere, good food. Rooms comfy, traditional. Views marvellous. Only criticism is that service was slow and breakfast should have more variety.

This is the best view hotel.
Very nice view, we are happy when we stay there. It is hard to carry the luggage to the hotel, fortunately, the hotel manager help us to carry the luggage from train station to the hotel by his car.

The Regina is a tired hotel that looks like it has had no money spent on it in many years. Some evenings there was no hot water, which is a must after a days skiing. Only 2 stiff & not very big towels + hand towels, not big enough to wrap around your head. Toilet paper was cheap & hard too. Toilet seat fell off on second day. Liquid soap ran out & wasn’t filled up. Door key was always faulty. No proper curtains, so room was always light. The buffet breakfast was average. We ate one night in the restaurant - the steaks were excellent but the Cesar salad was really disappointing. Reception staff were friendly & Pedro was the only redeeming factor in the restaurant. Real shame as the hotel is in a great location with lovely views.

An incredible view!
After a rocky 1st night (off season problems). Were moved to a beautiful suite! The hotel staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. The hotel is not built to accommodate old people with canes. The views were incredible. The breakfast was the most completely tempting array.

The staff was up to the highest grades of professionalism and was warm, courteous and went above and beyond in facilitating our stay.

Well situated, but in need of a major renovation
The hotel felt old and dusty. It was obvious the hotel had invested very little in the upkeep of the rooms for many many years. At CHF 220 per night for a double room I would have expected better. The steam room looked cheap and plastic, and there were cheap plastic lounge chairs in the relaxation area. Total disappointment. I would have stayed at the Hotel Victoria, but it was closed when we were there. I was never disappointed there.
