Pros: Location
Cons: Couldn't sit out the front unless you buy something from the Bar even though your a hotel guest
Location: Good location just below average hotel
Small rooms with no room to unpack and paper thin walls can hear everyone cough or move at night

Great place to stay in a beautiful village.

Pros: I liked the Swiss environment, great staff, and good locaton. It was very clean and well maintained.
Cons: The internet was easy to access but dropped out occasionally.
Location: The hiking in the valley is incredibly beautiful. It is an easy 5 minute walk from the train station and near the little shops of the village.
Hotel Schutzen was an excellent choice. The owner was very accomodating and helpful, even though we had some out of the ordinary schedule requests. . We had a room with a great view of Swiss scenery. From the balcony we could see the nearby waterfalls and a great view down the valley. The food was very good and people were pleasant. Staying at the Schutzen enhanced the Swiss experience. for us.

Great location, great view

This hotel has a great view of the waterfall just like the pictures. Many of the rooms don't have bathrooms. There is a toilet on each floor but it seems there is only 1 shower for the entire hotel rooms that don't have bathrooms. The rooms were small and clean. There is free internet and parking. The receptionist seemed like he was trying to scam us into paying more money in every way he can. He gave us many options to pay for the stay. He encouraged us to pay cash to avoid the 1.6% credit card charge, encouraged us to pay in Euros if we don't have Francs. I told him that I wanted to pay by credit card, he then encouraged me to charge it in USD. Be sure to charge in Francs and not USD as the conversion rate is not the same. Everything is within walking distance, so no need for public transportation
