Great hotel, perfect location
Lovely hotel, it looks ok from the outside however inside it is really nice. Perfectly located across from the station and a short 5 min to the main gondola for skiing. The views down the Lauterbrunnen valley are spectacular and the spa is great with these views. Would definitely return again.

Unfortunately I was given a lesser room than what I booked. After returning to the reception the staff was able to recognize the error and then assigned the proper room which was much nicer with a balcony and a view as well as an updated bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, the location perfect.

We loved staying at this hotel , it was so quiet and peaceful even though it was right in the middle of big tourist attraction. It was right next to station so it was very convenient to travel to Jungfrau mountain or anywhere near by. There were lot of great food options near by in walking distance. Hotel breakfast was good , kids enjoyed it a lot but it had same options everyday without any new options , they should look at adding more variety. Hotel restaurant was good and nice sitting areas for families to relax, play pool or enjoy hot tub. Wellness spa was not available during our stay due to staff unavailable. Hotel staff were nice.

Simply the best
Silberhorn Wengen is a little gem in a beautiful setting .we had amazing view of the mountains from room balcony . If this was a groundhog day then we can't wait for tomorrow

We booked through Expedia which caused great confusion by noting in large letters ‘STAY In Lauterbrunnen’. Followed up by the Hotel’s name and again in bold type “… WENGEN.” As a result we went to the wrong hotel site the name of our hotel but in Lauterbrunnen. Try the time we finally dragged 3 HEAVY bags on and off the trains to get to Wengen we were an hour of sweat a, anxiety and confusion. Nobody at the hotel seemed surprised or bothered by this VERY frustrating confusion after a trip from Paris that started very early in the morning. Then at when we saw a great table and walked toward it only to have a waiter literally run toward me to make clear that we common folk were not allowed to sit at the best tables… and that we second eaters needed to sit elsewhere. He said only those who ate in the hotel qualified… we did, but apparently eating at the only Hotel restaurant we saw … it faced the front street/ Bahnhofstrasse plaza … that did not qualify. He made clear we were second eaters. Oh also our room was reservation specified we wanted to use3 separate beds. The rollout sofa was OK but no sheets or pillows. So I worked with a hotel employee to make the bed. The nice people at Reception only partly compensated ffor these experiences. The “spa” had little about a “spa” to offer and certainly not a four star rating.

Excellent location right next to Wengen station. However, when we reached Wengen, we noticed there may be other better properties little away from station but also offer transportation service to the station. If we go to Wengen again we will explore those properties as there is less concern to carry luggage to those hotels. Breakfast timing is from 7:30, which was too late for us and perhaps for many other customers as we all were waiting outside the room for them to allow entry at 7:30 am. Wish they change time to at least 7:00am. Breakfast in itself was ok as we had better breakfast at our many other stays during our trip. We booked room with Jungfraujoch view, however room on 2nd floor are very disappointing from that perspective. they do not offer Vally view and Jungfraujoch is perhaps visible from one corner of the balcony. Overall, ok experience. However, we believe with money spent, we could have had better experience in other hotels in Wengen.

I booked a double bedroom suite with 3 twin beds and one double bed and was charged that rate. Prior to arrival the room was paid in full through Expedia. When I arrived with my husband and two children there were only two twin beds in the room. I spent over an hour at the front desk arguing with the rude staff dressed in a T-shirt that was stained that the room I was given is not what I paid for. Long story short they charged me an extra $120 to bring the beds I had already paid for to the room. Under no circumstances do I recommend this hotel. It was awful. No coffee left by housekeeping the second night and we had to leave very early for a flight. There are other lovely hotels in Wengen. Stay far far away from this one.

Indians should avoid this hotel.
After paying 600 CHF a night, Rooms were smelly, No vegetarian options for Indians, Horrible staff, Breakfast did not have the basic brown bread and on asking for them they said they have gone to buy them and will be available shortly, this is definitely not expected out of a so called 4 star property and to top it up the restaurant staff was doing a favour on we indians as if he did not care, Indians and Indian vegetarian eaters should definitely avoid this hotel

Loved our stay at Silberhorn!
We loved our stay at the Silberhorn and it was one of our favorite hotels we stayed at during our honeymoon travels! The property is clean, well maintained, and conveniently located. The buffet breakfast in the morning is also wonderful! Highly recommend staying here if you plan to visit the Wengen/Lauterbrunnen area!

Great Location
Hotel less than 50 yards from train station. Exceptional breakfast - hard to think of something missing. Room not so special. Not enough lighting, especially in the bathroom.. Could hardly see my head to comb my hair. Mattress needs replacing. All this for $375/night!

Great room with a view and spa!
Lovely hotel near train and Wengen ski cable cars with beautiful spa and great breakfast. Even though we didnt spring for the extra cost and classic view, We still had a lovely room with a view and a balcony. We would stay there again. All of the staff were especially nice to us, from the cleaning team to the front desk to the team in the restaurant.

Phenomenal Staff
While the snow conditions at the mountain in Wengen were far from optimal since it was unseasonably warm (+9 C) and had been raining for a couple of days prior to our arrival the fantastic staff at the Silberhorn still made our stay very enjoyable. The Christmas eve and Christmas Day prix fixe menus were phenomenal and the politeness and willingness of the staff to go above and beyond surpassed that of most 5 star hotels we've stayed in around the world. Kudos to everyone working there!

Wonderful Stay
I absolutely loved my stay at the Silberhorn. I had a room with a view of the Jungfrau which was such a pleasure to wake up to. The staff was incredibly friendly, the bed was comfortable, the spa was lovely, and the food was delicious. I would stay there again in a heartbeat!

It was an amazing experience staying at the hotel. I got an free room upgrade with hotels.com gold membership. The upgraded room is double room with Jungfrau view which is wonderful. The room is very clean and big. The spa is also very nice with amazing views. They also give coupon for dinner. I will definitely stay here again next time.

One night only - good experience.
Only one night spent and don't really know how to measure eco-friendly hotels. The hotel is on the perfect location in Wengen. Next to train station and to town centre. The room was very spacious and had a lovely balcony. The staff service was very professional and attentive and the restaurant was serving meals until nearly 22:00!! Spa is correct with two different jacuzzis (indoor and outdoor) and enough space to relax outside and inside. As a down notes, I missed the swimming pool to make it a perfect spa experience and the parking needs to be better explained because we did a last minute booking and weren't aware we could not access Wengen by car (you need to park in Lauterbrunnen and take the train but in a busy summer day that is a challenge). In the end staff in the hotel helped us enormously arranging the parking through a camping site in Lauterbrunnen but it would be best to know this in advance. I will come back to spend more time and assess it better.

The Siliberhorn Wengen is an outstanding property in the heart of town just steps from the train station. The hotel has a wonderful spa and relaxing lounge as well as a large breakfast area with a sumptuous buffet. Staff were friendly and competent.
