Looked Clean

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The lobby was very nice. The room however, was another story. While it looked clean on the surface the room reeked of urine and the entire carpet very "sticky". Not quite sure how you make a carpet sticky but it was. Just wanted to sleep after a 10 hour drive...the smell made it a bit difficult.

The HVAC was outdated and hard to control. The tub and shower was outdated.

A little disappointed in Hampton!

On our arrival, I was advised by the desk clerk, who was incredibly nice, that the hotel was overbooked and they could not accommodate our reservation as we requested several months ago. We had booked 2 queen beds, but because of the overbooked issue; they could only provide a king with a queen sleeper sofa. There were 3 adults in this room. This sounds like a good substitute, but it is not. The sleeper sofa has a metal rod in the middle of the bed; hence, an uncomfortable nights sleep. Plus, there was something "sticky" on the carpet...not sure what that was...tried to avoid it the best we could. The breakfast was less than adequate because they were slow in replacing items, such as coffee condiments, etc. Overall, the trip was a good one with a few inconveniences, but next time, I think I will reconsider this hotel.

Hampton Inn earned my loyalty

Pros: Cleanliness, welcoming staff, excellent breakfast, moderate price.
Cons: The furniture in this particular hotel has seen a lot of wear. Possibly replacing some of the worn items would enhance the atmosphere even more.
Location: Near Tuscaloosa where we were completing a college tour.
We were scheduled to stay in a different hotel in Alabama, however this hotel definitely turned out to be sub-par. Thank God for Hampton Inn, they saved us. They were moderately priced, clean, and the staff was welcoming. I will forever stick with Hampton Inn.

Dirty, out of things that should have been in the room already, very disappointed, in this hotel!
