Carpet a bit old and worn, but no stains or smells. Room is large for a king. There is plenty of room for luggage and work. The bathroom is clean and updated.

Water was shut off

Pros: Very nice. Room was clean and spacious.
Cons: Valet parking for one night was $23. That is way too much for one night's stay, especially in light of the fact that we had no water.
Location: Son lives in NW Washington on Wisconsin Boulevard so it was convenient
Little signs were posted near the elevators that the water would be shut off from 10 PM until about 5 Am the next morning. it would have been nice if they had mentioned that when we checked in at 6 PM since we didn't really notice the 8 1/2 by 11 sheet of paper hung by the elevator that explained this. We returned to our room about 11 that night and had no water. The front desk did provide us with two bottles of water but had we known, we may have done some things differently. The water was back on the following morning when we awoke,

Nice hotel and quite reasonably priced. Close to Bethesda shopping and restaurants.

Overall nice, clean and conveniently located hotel. Room service (burger, fries and a slice of chocolate torte!) was excellent!!!

I didn’t have a good experience at all. The parking was not free. The valley staff could barely speak English. The toilet overflowed and it was a big mess. As a result I should have received compensation for the inconvenience bad experience.

Was a nice place. Staff were responsive and helpful. It is near many restaurants and public transport system. I can recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the area. I managed to get a nice price through expedia less than what was on the hotel website. Otherwise despite the old structure of the hotel, management has tried to keep it up to date and relevant.

Disappointing overall

Pros: Location convenient to relatives in Kensington.
Cons: See above comments.

Valet parking cumbersome & slow; breakfast buffet overpriced; room telephone information placard print too fine to read without magnification; room telephone volume too low; no hot water for shower - even after waiting 5 minutes.

Convenient for NIH

Good overall. Very convenient for those with business around. For the price, it should have breakfast. Some issues, the hotel does not have roll in beds, which I find incredible. So if you want to share a room they offer you extra bedding. Bathroom tile had mold. Check in was a breeze and staff so kind. At check out the gentleman who assisted me could care less to spell my name correctly. And I am not from Thailand! After 3 receipts printed and thrown away, he did not get it right. I let it go.
