Close to Metro

Nice hotel even in the middle of their remodel. Tricky parking due to construction. Very close to the metro station to D.C. A few blocks away from good restaurants.

Confortable hotel close o American University

Cons: Housekeeping response time and overall management of rooms.
Location: Location is wonderful. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and if you get titled of walking there is bus that circulates downtown for free.
The hotel is going through some construction which creates a bit of confusion on how to drop suitcases but if you have a good navigation system you can bypass it all and use the public parking lot just a block away. Housekeeping was slow to respond and rooms where not properly stock with towels. Patience is a virtue!

Pros: The architecture
Cons: Nothing
Location: It's a good location with the Metro right next to it and Starbucks
The hotel is very nice from the outside and inside. It was clean and it kept clean during my stay. Staff was very polite and nice when I needed help or had questions.

OK but not more

Pros: Rooms were nice
Cons: Improve training of registration staff. Quickly complete very long period of construction. Check on associated restaurant. Very poor seafood meal.
Checkin delayed. Incompetent staffer. Constant construction. Very disruptive.

Very close to Metro

Pros: The metro stop is literally right out side door of hotel. We were nervous not renting a car, but so glad we didn't.
Cons: Maid left 2 wash clothes for 3 people everyday for a week. You would think after day 2 she would get it.
Hotel and staff were great. Hotel is accessible through metro if you are coming Amtrak or via airport. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful.

Very clean and nice place to stay.

We were wanting a place to stay that was convenient for a Washington DC vacation. This is the place to stay! The Metro train station is right outside the hotel and is accessible from the hotel elevators. Could not be any better for commuting int DC to see the sights. If anyone asked where we stayed, I will deffinently tell the the Hyatt Recency in Bethesda. The ONLY way it could have been any better, is if the hotel had a pool for it's customers.

Metro was within 100 feet making it easy to get around DC

construction crazy

Got to hotel but couldn't find way in- signage was extremely confusing. Also heard construction going on in garage underneath hotel thru the night!

Housekeeper knock once and immediately open the door at around 9am. We asked to come back later but room did not get cleaned. The next day room was fairly cleaned, bathroom was not throughly clean though
