Clean and comfortable

Posted Sep 6, 2017
We were a late check in and we encountered a problem with our dog. The room reserved for us was not a "dog" room. They were full and told us there were no rooms available. We were there for a funeral, checking in at 10 pm with a 9 pound Shih Tzu. Pretty upsetting situation. The manager finally said it was ok after I signed a paper that Sadie the dog would not swim in the pool. I'm not kidding about that We received NO apology, funeral discount or Senior or AARP discount. Nice hotel...not so nice staff.

A little far from my family reunion. I was under the impression it was closer to Frankfort, MI

No hot water

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: Clean.
Cons: No hot water and no offer to compensate for this terrible inconvenience.
Location: Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore is amazing.
Initially, we were pleased with this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. However, by 10pm on the second night there was no hot water, at all. By 7am the next morning, we were needing to take showers and called the front desk to inquire. They let us know that the hot water heater was broken and there was no hot water in the entire hotel. By 10am when we checked out there was still no hot water and no compensation or even apology was offered. I cannot believe they didn't offer to refund or provide a discount on a future Best Western stay, etc. Horrible experience.

We had to stay for a wedding in Frankfort and the location was perfect. Also we hung around the city of Beluah which was so cute. The hotel is 5 minutes from crystal lake and a cute town with good food and sweets

Good location

Good location for Sleeping Bear Dunes and Frankfort. Room was not cleaned while we were out during the day. Many breakfast items were depleted. Staff was friendly but seemed overworked. Overall ok, but will probably look for another location next time.

Great reception staff!

Posted Aug 4, 2017
Pros: reception staff
Cons: clean the sick every day and change bed sheet if soiled
Location: great spot, on the highway by not noisy for the highway.....noisy from the guests. plenty of parking and overal clean.
We stayed 5 days in July, very busy hotel and very noicy. When we complain about the noice the staff took action. The walls are in cartboard, dont go there for a rest! The reception staff are fantastic. The breakfast is OK, good variety. The biggest issue was that the cleaning crew never cleaned the bathroom sick during our 5 days stat and did not change a soiled bed sheet.

Not a resort hotel!

Posted Aug 4, 2017
Pros: It was quiet.
Cons: Management that cares! And provides quality service. Cleaning of main entrance, foyer, breakfast bar (JUICE Machine!!!) Front desk staff!!!!
Location: Recreation in the National Park , Sleeping Bear.
Rooms were clean and comfortable, but the rest of the facility was dirty and unkept. Breakfast bar was ok, but not clean, or attended to.

Good value. Quiet. Clean.

Nicest hotel in Beulah area. Easy to find right off the highway. Big pool. Breakfast was adequate. 1 hour from the Lake Michigan ferry and 20 minutes to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse City.
