Over-priced

This is a low end apartment building that was converted to a hotel. The roof top bar doesn't exist and the pool is the size of a jacuzzi. You can do much better in this price range.

Great boutique style property in WeHo

Pros: The location and the style of the property, which was very classy and unique
Cons: The air conditioning unit was exceptionally loud, so we couldn't sleep with it on. We stayed during the heat wave, so this affected sleep a bit.
Location: Walking distance to Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard and easy to connect to the other areas of LA
We thoroughly enjoyed the space and comfort of our room in West Hollywood. Hotel Chamberlain provided a great base to explore LA, and the staff were all super nice. The breakfast was great, and it was nice spending afternoons up on the pool deck. We stayed in a deluxe suite, and found the room to be very spacious and comfortable.

It was very disappointing that I was given a handicapped room which I didn't sign up for. I asked to be changed which was done until the third day. In both rooms the ac units were so old that noise it made didn't make me sleep well. I could hardly listen to the television. Furthermore, the telephones in either rooms were not working. Very disappointing for the price paid.

Nice hotel in WEHO

Large room, nice furnishings. Not cookie cutter. Hallway smelled like wet dogs. Room was dark.

The room booked was not available upon arrival (though we did arrive before check-in). As we got to our room, we noticed questionable stains on the couch. We informed reception about it, and they said they had another room available with the original type of room we booked (while 10 minutes ago, it was not available). When we went to reception we noticed there were actually 2 rooms available with original booking type. We saw second room, which also had stains on couch chairs and third room had stains on couch. We settled for the least dirty of the three. Staff said that hotel was old, and they were looking to renovate rooms by November, which does not excuse lack of proper cleaning practices. The staff was not apologetic or empathetic. We were quite disappointed with the cleanliness of hotel.

Yes our eleven million dollar Reno starts end of October. It is very possible that room inventory changed within minutes. It is updated in real time by housekeeping.

The hotel needs to be updated. The staff was excellent. The restaurant was great. The pool was small but good.

Doesn’t look like the picture

Pulled into valet- the two guys watched my friends and I unload multiple bags. No offer to assist. Check in- reserved a king room but they only had two queen. The alarm clock was burnt out in some of the numbers. The decor is 90s. Went to the roof top pool- it is very small compared to the picture and showing a lot of wear. The water was foggy and merky. Making it worse was that there dirty plates, trash under chairs , empty cups at almost every chair. The pool attendant acted like she was doing me a favor when I asked for a cup of ice.

Heatwave could have been worse

During a serious hot spell in LA, the AC in my room stopped working. That's no shot at the hotel, sometimes in unit machines break, especially in those conditions. They made it up to me with a free upgrade and a bottle of wine. Class act from a classy place. Thanks!
