Nice neighborhood hotelPosted Jan 19, 2018
Pros: You are able to enjoy the outside sans the traffic and noise.
Location: Near our friends and family
Street side rooms are noisy. But the interior courtyards and experience are lovely.

An oasis of relative calm in a crazy city.Posted Nov 18, 2017
Pros: good to see they had upgraded it but not changed the character of the hotel.
Nice to have some gardens around the complex, even the odd humming bird.

THE RUDEST STAFF EVER!!!!Posted Nov 2, 2017 on Orbitz
Cons: NEW STAFF. NEW MANAGMENT.
VERY RUDE STAFF. FROM PARKING TO THGE FRONT DESK THERE WAS NOT LEVEL OF PERSONAL SERVICE. GOING TO A BOUTIQUE HOTEL, YOU EXPECT SOME SORT OF PERSONALIZED SERVICE. THIS PLACE HAD NONE. SOUP TO NUTS IT WAS A ROTTEN EXPERIENCE AND WE WILL NOT BE BACK TO STAY. BAR IS COOL. RESTAURANT IS COOL TOO BUT THE STAFF AND SERVICE IS JUST DOWN RIGHT DISGUSTING. THEY THINK, BECAUSE THEY WORK IN LA, THAT THEY ARE ABOVE THE STANDARD OF PROVIDING SERVICE.

Not worth the moneyPosted Oct 24, 2017
Pros: The location.
The Sunset Marquis costs what a normal 4-5 star hotel does, but offers an experience more akin to a Comfort Inn. I stayed in a king suite - walls were paper thin, bathroom banged up and cheap, with no view or even sunlight. (Room 229). Room service forgot to make my order on 2 occasions, and messed up very simple requests (no cheese, sauce on the side) more than once. Parking attendants parked my car under a leaky pipe - leaving a filthy film all over the side. (only when I complained to management was this taken care of) Definitely NOT worth the cost.
