Rooms are very outdated. Locks are flimsy. Staff is nice. No airconditioning or heat (heater was broken and dated to the early 70s) room was reminicent of your auntie olgas joint. Stuffy uncomfortable bedding. But other than that it was a place to sleep

The hotel is very dated but most are in big bear. The first room we had smelled of natural gas and the smoke detector was torn off wall. The second room didn’t smell but the window lock didn’t work and the bed was AWFUL-too soft and lumpy.

We can always help our guests with replacing locks since we know sometimes things can break. The rooms are old style and the furniture is quite old, but if you like charm and ambience, the rooms are really sweet. I liked them a lot. They are spacious and were very clean. I especially loved the larger rooms with fireplaces and couches. The cons - older couches and beds aren't the most comfortable. BIGGEST COMPLAINT - no policy on smoking! Really?? There were lots of guests smoking on patios, which meant I couldn't open the patio door or window. Since it's an old building, the walls are pretty thick so they kept out most odor and sound, which made it bearable, but I just don't get not having a policy on smoking!

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently working on upgrading all of our rooms including the outside pool and jacuzzi as well. All of our rooms are non-smoking and all we ask is for our guests who do smoke, to smoke outside. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you again for your feedback.

Terribly dated. The stairway alone to our room looked like it hadn't seen a vacuum in ages. The room decor and mattress was from the 90's. Christmas decor?...in April??

Great staff, needs a remodel...badly

When we first arrived we had a small issue that the staff took care of immediately, that was great. However, upon close observation it can be seen the rooms really need a remodel. I hope this will be taken into consideration. Overall we had a nice time, thank you.
