Great Location. Nice Stay. Bad customers.

We timed a snow storm in Big Bear so we would be here just before it started and leave after the roads had been cleared so my daughter could play in the snow. For this purpose, great hotel. It was right on the lake, with a view of the lake so we watched the snow coming down heavy, we were able to just walk across the street to all the restaurants and shops. The snow plowing and clearing was constant, both on the property and on the streets, so there is no problem moving around, just be aware of the chain and/or AWD restrictions. The lobby was nice, had a wood burning fireplace, huge vaulted ceilings, big glass windows of the snow and lake. Parking was fine at this time of year. The price was very good. The room was not very large but we were only staying for a couple days. Room was clean, recently renovated. If you want to use a Google Chromecast/Amazon Fire Stick be aware that they have attached some large programming device to the back of the TV that makes it difficult to get to the HDMI ports (it can be done). The heater broke, but within minutes they just put a large, safe, space heater in and that worked perfectly. My only complaint was the noisy neighbors upstairs. They must have had multiple kids and all we heard for hours was them running, jumping, stomping, banging. By 10pm I guess they went to bed, but it started again the following morning, luckily we were already awake. Can't fix inconsiderate people though, and not the hotel's fault.
