Clean hotel, friendly staff, great view of lake

Posted Dec 2, 2016
The hotel was very clean and warm, as we stayed during the winter. The staff was friendly and informative. The view of the lake was spectacular, and I bet it's even more beautiful during the summer months!

Love this place

Posted Dec 1, 2016
Loved our hotel. Close to walking distance to the village and all the shops. The view of the lake was beautiful off our balcony. The one thing I didn't like was there was no outlet in the bathroom, so I had to do my hair in the bedroom. The room was so cozy. Super comfy bed (I need that comforter in my life) and the fireplace set the mood for the snowy weekend. It was perfect.

Great Location. Nice Stay. Bad customers.

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: Location, lobby, view, price.
Cons: None. Can't improve annoying customers.
Location: Right across the street from Pine Knot, their "Main Street" which means less than 5 minutes to walk over and enjoy the restaurants, bars and shops.
We timed a snow storm in Big Bear so we would be here just before it started and leave after the roads had been cleared so my daughter could play in the snow. For this purpose, great hotel. It was right on the lake, with a view of the lake so we watched the snow coming down heavy, we were able to just walk across the street to all the restaurants and shops. The snow plowing and clearing was constant, both on the property and on the streets, so there is no problem moving around, just be aware of the chain and/or AWD restrictions. The lobby was nice, had a wood burning fireplace, huge vaulted ceilings, big glass windows of the snow and lake. Parking was fine at this time of year. The price was very good. The room was not very large but we were only staying for a couple days. Room was clean, recently renovated. If you want to use a Google Chromecast/Amazon Fire Stick be aware that they have attached some large programming device to the back of the TV that makes it difficult to get to the HDMI ports (it can be done). The heater broke, but within minutes they just put a large, safe, space heater in and that worked perfectly. My only complaint was the noisy neighbors upstairs. They must have had multiple kids and all we heard for hours was them running, jumping, stomping, banging. By 10pm I guess they went to bed, but it started again the following morning, luckily we were already awake. Can't fix inconsiderate people though, and not the hotel's fault.

Old and being renovated

Posted Nov 22, 2016
Pros: Close to the water if the lake was up. Close to the village.
Cons: Cleanliness,
The hotel was OK. The issues I had were with cleanliness. One of the first things that happened is in the room I stepped on a straight pin that was in the carpet. Stuck in my foot. Didn't penetrate too far in. Bedding, throw pillows were soiled. Took a shower and had very damp towels.

Pros: Staff was very friendly
Cons: The Bed
Location: Shopping And Restaurant
The room was nice , but the king size bed was so uncomfortable. I'm sure the mattress hasn't been replaced since this hotel has been open.

Thank you for staying with us Celedonio. Our property was built in 1968, and we can assure you the mattresses have been updated many times since then. We do appreciate your feedback on their comfort level as our guests opinions are very important to us. Thank you.

Very Comfy! Great views and really good coffee

Posted Nov 9, 2016
Cons: I hate that we are experiencing a drought because the lake has receded but the walk isnt too far
Location: You can just walk to the village where everyone hangs out and shops
My girlfriend and I decided to call into work for a nice night in big bear so I was hoping it would be comfortable.. and it was! The hotel lobby is beautiful with huge windows and natural wood chairs with a view of the receding lake. They keep coffee ready and I had 3 cups it was awesome. Balcony Awesome!! The bed was the winner ...super fluffy and comfy!

Nice resort, beautiful view of the Lake & Forrest

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Had a wonderful time in Big Bear. The Marina Resort is so close to The Village, the Village has shopping, dining, bars etc... My room was very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed sitting out in the balcony and take in the view. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If you have kids there's a small playground next to the hotel. Next time I visit Big Bear I will definitely stay at the Marina Resort again.
