Visiting family

Posted Nov 19, 2015
Pros: The hotel was clean and certainly nice enough.
Cons: They need to add a lamp alongside the bed. You turn the light switch off, then walk in complete darkness to the bed. That is unsafe.
I needed a one night stay while I visited family. The hotel was reasonably priced and close by. The only reason I was disappointed with the room, is I realized upon going to bed, is that you must turn off the light, at the switch which is across the room. Then walk across the entire hotel room, to get into bed in total darkness. If you want any light in the room, then you could leave the drapes open, but for privacy, I choose not to do that. And it isn't the type of light above the bed that has a switch to turn off/on. I called the front desk to ask if there should have been a lamp, or if I was missing something about the room, and was told no. I feel it is a safety issue for patrons to be expected to walk around a strange place in absolute darkness. OR what if there was an emergency and you had to get up during the night? OR what if you had children that got up during the night? Again, with no way to access any light until you make your way across the entire room in total darkness. And it could all be alleviated by the purchase of a simple lamp, and placed alongside the bed. I can't believe that this issue hasn't been brought to the management's attention before. Personally, I will never stay there again unless that is changed.

Pros: Clean, secure, good a/c unit.
Cons: Having a little patio area for smokers is so much nicer, than just standing an ashtray outside the door.
Location: Nice bars on both sides of hotel. Nice little small town with a nice lake.
OK. Nothing fancy, but OK. Room was clean and cleaned daily. It would have been nice to have a patio area with some outdoor chairs and tables outside for smokers . . . this is a nice little vacation town. Fun bar right next door!

Really clean and cute place. Staff wasn't very friendly, but they were not mean; a quiet staff.

Comfortable room

Room was large, and had everything necessary for a restful stay. Bed was firm enough and offered a good nights sleep. No pool or spa, but not needed on this trip.

Pros: Price and cleanliness.
Location: Location is close to the Minneapolis Suburbs.
Nice, clean hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff was very pleasant. Breakfast is "continental" like it says, but adequate. I was very pleased with our stay considering the cost. Definatly would stay there again.

Nice hotel in a small town

Posted Apr 14, 2014
Pros: The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.
Cons: The person at the front desk needs some customer service training. He was terrible.
The room was great. Roomy, clean and comfortable. The desk person was terrible. We called earlier in the day to explain that we were going to arrive late due to an event we were attending. When we arrived, around 10:00 pm, the person at the desk was on the phone with an obvious customer who was looking for directions. He ignored us from the moment we walked in, not even acknowledging us with any kind of gesture. We waited for about 10 minutes listening to him give this customer directions. Finally, he finished and said hello and asked me for my name. I gave him my last name and then spelled it. He immediately said "ID please". I gave him my drivers license and he proceeded to type out the information that he needed from my license onto his computer, ignoring us the entire time. When he was finished he simply said, room 207, and handed me two room keys. He then pointed to the elevator. He was terrible and I believe he was the owner.
