Great Snowmobiling in Yellowstone

Posted Feb 20, 2017
Pros: Wonderful staff and very helpful. They also recommended some great even dining restaurants, some of the best trout I have eaten in 40 years.
Cons: Add Hot chocolate to the selection.
Location: Easy to get too, right at the corner of Firehole and Canyon streets, Main roads in and out of West Yellowstone. Big Sky, if you want to add downhill.
We had a wonderful 6 days with friends snowmobiling in Yellowstone Park and outside the park starting with Two Top and Big Springs and much more. Hotel had great breakfast selection hot or cold to start our days and very comfortable clean rooms, Hot tub was favored for the evening. Staff was very friendly , helpful, and made some great recommendations like visiting the Grizzly/Wolf center. Imax showing "Yellowstone" both a MUST DO. Hotel was easy to get too and fine from Bozeman Airport 90 miles north for late arrivals. We had a great time and certainly would do this again staying with the folks at Best Western Desert Inn West Yellowstone Montana.

Best in the West of Yellowstone

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: The free breakfast buffet is what makes the price worth it. You get something different every other day.
Cons: One of the big downfalls of this hotel is the wifi signal! It absolutely sucked. I could not stay connected for 5 minutes straight.
Location: Location of the hotel isn't dead center in town but everything is within a 3-5 minute drive or a short walk.
This location is probably one of the nicer hotels in the area. The rest of the hotels look like ghost towns. Considering that it's winter time, most of the neighboring hotels were likely closed for the slow winter season. Location of the hotel isn't dead center in town but everything is within a 3-5 minute drive or a short walk. The entrance to Yellowstone National park is a 10 minute walk down the street. It's no 5 star resort but it does the job. The rooms were clean and equipped with a tv, fridge, and microwave. The beds were decent size and comfortable, the heater worked and the hot water was steady. Not much to complain about. The thermostat for the ac/heater unit is on the wall, don't try and mess with the actual unit itself, you can press all the buttons on there and it won't make a difference. Room service also does a very good job. The staff of the hotel is nice and helpful without being annoying. The free breakfast buffet is what makes the price worth it. You get something different every other day. The eggs are switched from cheese egg omelets, to west egg omelets, to scrambled eggs. The meat is either bacon or sausage. They serve breakfast burritos every other day. No pancakes or waffles, but you do get toast and biscuits with gravy available. There's a selection of fruits, cereals, milk, muffins, and Danishes. The muffins and Danishes are individually wrapped and available all day. There's also a hot water dispenser and cocoa packets to make hot chocolate.

Yellowstone adventure minus hot tub and wifi

Posted Jan 12, 2017 on Hotels
Great location for Yellowstone adventures. Was disappointed the hot tub was not working and the staff was less than interested or informative about what they were doing to get it fixed. With snow coming down in buckets outside, the hot tub would have been nice. Also, the wifi was suboptimal. Had to use my phone as a hot spot to do most things. On the plus side, rooms were very clean and comfortable and breakfast buffet good!

One Of The Best Best Western

Posted Dec 28, 2016 on Orbitz
Good location for Yellowstone and competitive rate during winter. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful, we were caught up in Idahofalls snow storm and hotel staff and Orbitz helped us rebooked, staff also recommended a very good snow couch tour for us. The hotel lobby was nice room comfortable and clean and breakfast were one of the best.

Convenient and big room

Very nice but could use some updating considering what it costs. But I realize it's the proximity to Yellowstone.

Convenient, clean, spacious

Posted Dec 4, 2016 on Orbitz
Pros: Friendly staff, clean, large room, pool and hot tub
Cons: Nothing, really.
Location: Skiing, Griz & Wolf Ctr., YNP.
Great staff, room was nice and big, easy to accommodate 2 dogs. Pool and hot tub were fun - convenient to everything we wanted to do. Would definitely stay again.
