Ok if you need a more affordable place to stay

I usually book "better" hotels such as Comfort Inn, Holiday Inn, or a Marriott brand, but I didn't want to spend the money this time. I didn't remember to book a 1st floor unit because I usually don't stay at a place that doesn't have an elevator. It was quite a hassle to say the least to get a stroller, a 2 year old, a 3 months old, and all of our things onto the second level, even with two adults. The staff was slow to check us in, unorganized, and seemed stressed. Our room was clean, but one lamp on the wall was crooked and there was something wrong with the wire of the nightstand lamp and alarm clock (they'd go on and off just by touching the wire). This was a pretty uncomfortable situation especially with my 2 year old wanting to explore the room. I didn't bother to ask for another room as I overheard the staff stating that all rooms were booked as I was checking in. I'd stay there again if I really needed to save money, but in any other case I'd book my usual preferred brands.
