The wolf and grizzly discovery center is home to wolves, grizzlies, and raptors that have been injured in the wild and are unable to return to the wild, if this place didn't take them in they were probably going to be uthinized. The donations here help feed and protect the animals here. You can get a great educational expierence and view of wildlife you may not see in the park or surrounding area. This owl is disinterested.
Taken at the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, a not for profit shelter for animals that wouldn't survive in the wild or have been injured. If you want to learn more head over to: http://www.grizzlydiscoveryctr.org/
A unique experience in West Yellowstone and a great way to get up close to apex predators. The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center was started by Lewis S. Robinson, and opened in 1993 with three bears as the Grizzly Discovery Center. It was intended as a sanctuary for bears that were removed from the wild because they had become too familiar or aggressive with people. There are a few reasons to visit Yellowstone in the Spring. You beat the crowds, you can actually book a hotel room without a reservation, and the red dogs are out. Our American bald eagle is one of the most photogenic of all the wildlife in Yellowstone Beautiful spot for some safe wildlife photography. Definitely recommend if! #green this guy was chilling right by the west entrance when we came into the park. Nothing like hitting the backcountry in massive powder! Good homemade ice cream, made on site at a good price with the usual favorites and seasonal flavors like huckleberry and peach cobbler. A must stop in old downtown but be ready for long lines in the summer season. #FoodieFinds #SweetSpot #Red Here is a gray wolf. I shot this fellow with my Canon camera and a 100–400 mm lens. The golden hour was definitely golden as I shot over 30 photos A Our two day whirlwind tour starts!
