Very Happy Stay

Posted Mar 9, 2016
Pros: Ambience Peace and tranquility
Location: If travelling to Jodphur or Khimsar Fort take the NH 15 to the turn off to Au. This is a straight good surfaced road that takes you through real Raj
Staff all tried to please and layout of bar in Court Yard where the dancing took place was exceptional. High light was ride in Solar Boat. This is the world's first Solar Powered Water Taxi built on the insriration of Shriji Arvind Mewar which by his example led to thousands of Solar Powered Boats all around the world. The Hotel has maintained this piece of history with great pride and are to be congratulated.

Wonderful setting - blackbuck, wild boar etc

Posted Mar 12, 2012
Pros: Setting and nature reserve
Cons: Dining room
The main selling point of this hotel is the wonderful building, setting and 6,000 acre nature reserve attached to it. However, the presence of so many birds also means that there is a lot of bird mess around which makes it difficult to keep really clean. The staff do a good job but I felt the terrace in particular could be made more inviting with more attention to detail and more cleaning of the tables, umbrellas, chairs etc. The rooms are very comfortable and well-equipped, with a good level of service.

wonderful old style hotel

Posted Jan 28, 2012
Pros: building and gardens, sunset on lake, parrots nesting in trees in courtyard
the hotel and the setting are amazingly beautiful, full of atmosphere and elegance, the fact that the place it's a little delabré since the times it was the Maharaja hunting lodge adds to its charm and I would recommend a visit before it will be turned into another 5 star luxury resort without soul. All the staff was excellent, the massage very good, a no frills experience but with a very competent masseur. The restaurant beautiful and the food good. Lovely place for nature lovers, even in dry season the lake is full of water and wildlife. I would recommend staying for more than a day. Bikaner is only 30km away

Traumhaftes romantisches Hotel mit klasse Service

Posted Jan 2, 2014
