Tradional comfort in central location.

Posted May 18, 2017
Courtyard style layout. Traditional subtle western motif, tastefully done. Room was clean, well laid out and the bed comfortable. Coupon provided for breakfast was handy, and worthwhile. Easy to recommend, and if in Billings a place to roost in comfort. These folks do it right.

Worse than I was expecting

Posted May 3, 2017
No AC. I can't remember if it was advertised or not, but the old thermostat in the room have the option of heat or cooling. Very dated colors etc... The bed linens were the worst and oldest I've ever come across. I think I had a nightmare about bed bugs that night, although the room was tidy enough.

We are sorry about not having the air conditioning turned on yet. However, as you know when you were here it was still considered winter here in Montana. The bed linens actually are Egyptian cotton very high thread count, plus the color is taupe with a taupe stripe. I know in the winter with low lighting during the day it may not have appeared as you wanted, however, our guests really do like the linens. Bad nightmares can be just that, however, as they say people with very vivid imaginations have some really great dreams, even in nightmares. Hope the rest of your trip went well.

Just be ready

Posted Apr 1, 2017
I was emotionally prepared and the experience was acceptable - In it's day this was a cute country inn - It is old and tired - I went here because it's the only place in the entire city with a reasonable pet friendly fee - My dog really enjoyed herself - My wife would never stay there - Now that's funny ...!!! The front desk staff were fun and helped to overcome the rest of the negatives - I hate to give the thumbs down as this facility needs to be freshened up and remain a landmark of old downtown Billings - If you stay there you are being supportive of a struggling business and that's not a bad thing - They need your business in order to remain open - So "Be Ready" ... go with your "Eyes Open" and let your puppy have a nice vacation..!!! - I will most likely go back but not with my wife ..!

Quaint hotel but hotel desperately needs update.

Carpets were filthy. Room wasn't very clean and found old food and half eaten burgers left in room.

Thank you for staying with us and nice to hear you liked everything. I hope you had turned off the heater if it was to hot, we turn the heat on for our guest due to snow and below zero weather.

The heater/ac would only blow hot air and when I got to my room someone had set the thermostat to 90, so needless to say my room was a sauna. I slept with the window open all night (in January) and still never got the room to a normal temperature. This hotel needs a little updating or they need to bring the price down to around $50.

Thank you for staying with us. Yes, we did turn up the temperature being it was hovering below zero with snow. You are always welcome back.

Hello Terrance, you did not say what the problem was nor the room number. Whe you have a problem, it's always best to let the front desk know so they can move you to a room that will meet your needs, Thank you.
