Great hotel, close to beach

Treated like a third rate customer

Cons: The service from the reservation desk. The superior attitudes that were displayed while trying to resolve issues that the hotel caused was disturbing
Location: The Gulf Coast of Mississippi is beautiful. The food is amazing.
Booked our hotel with Expedia. On check-in, the room was not the type we asked for and had confirmed with a phone call and an email. The desk would not refund any amount because we booked through Expedia. I was okay with that. On entering the room, the smell of cigarette smoke was overwhelming. Attempts by the bellman and me to secure another room was met with resistance by the desk staff plus it was not what we had reserved. I went to another room that was assigned and it had a king bed--for the 4 of us--My daughter and two grandchild. After a call to Expedia who called the Beau Rivage, we were escorted to a room that had not been cleaned!!!! Q tips on the counter, towels on the floor, food everywhere. We were told to leave our things in that nasty room and go to the pool or the beach for an hour and the room would be cleaned. This caused another call to Expedia. We did take a walk to the "beach" which was completely around the hotel building-at least half mile and was a small dirty section under the interstate. No "easy beach access." After all of this we-about 2 hours-we finally were moved to a clean room with a view of the Gulf of Mexico. There was no compensation from the hotel for dragging two very tired children around for the hotel's mistake. Expedia tried to make things right. Very pleased with Expedia. Will never stay at the Beau again. My family and I felt as though we had been treated this poorly because we booked through a third party vender.

The experience with the hotel was 100 per cent better than my experience with Expedia. Because I give Expedia a 0 out of 5. Your people and policies definitely are not guaranteed as advertised. Your price for the room was over 60.00 more then the price quoted by the hotel.

Good overall experience

Hotel does not have direct beach access but is still within walking distance. Numerous shops and restaurants within hotel/casino. We have stayed here on other occasions over the years and have enjoyed our visits. However, I am still annoyed that the rooms do not include a coffee pot, which is standard for most hotels I have visited. I don't mind having to pay $3.50 at the coffee shop, but I do mind having to get dressed and leave my room before having my morning coffee.

Excellent Experience

Location: Beach, and Jefferson Davis tour
Lovely property, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent restaurants and helpful staff. I would return again for certain.

Location: Beach, seafood, gambling, music and close to all other casinos.
I had a wonderful time. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The hotel was beautiful and offered a lot to do: numerous shops and restaurants, a pool and spa, and a casino. The staff was great - both friendly and efficient.

Great service

Cons: Guaranteed wins at the Casino HaHa !!
Location: Hotel provided all we needed !!
We enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very professional. Comps were easy to collect. Lost too much money at the casino but that is one me. Hope this is enough characters because a I am running out of adjectives !! Thanks so much !!
