ShoddyPosted Aug 15, 2016
Cons: Improve standards of cleanliness and better organised.
Location: Handy for bullring and station
Room was made up but pubic hair in bed and duvet had big tear pillows smelled like dirty hair. Paid for breakfast but every morning had to prove it to dining room staff as reception had not shown this on their checklist. Awful sausages - greasy eggs - soft toast Noisy despite having 2 security guards on duty what sounded like a brawl in the corridor on first night. Turned on kettle and all the lights went out - found trip switch in cupboard.

Very very hotPosted Aug 7, 2016
There's a real problem with cooling in summer in this hotel which made for a pretty uncomfortable stay with no fans available. Our toilet flush got jammed every time. Our beds weren't very comfortable. All the places to buy drinks (soft drink/water) closed at 11pm and in such a hot hotel this really wasn't convenient. We came back late at night to find out door unopenable, a do not disturb sign on the door and all our luggage moved around presumably by the cleaning staff. Redeeming features were the cleanliness, the high ceilings and big street facing windows.

Good central locationPosted Jul 30, 2016
Clean and efficient. Good central location but only pedestrian access so you'll need to park close by (5 minutes walk). Hotel gives discount on parking so that's a bonus! Was surprised at decent standard of hotel compared to price paid for the room. Would certainly stay there again if visiting Birmungham.

Absolutely awful, smoking allowed in bedroomsPosted Jul 18, 2016
Smoking is allowed in bedrooms which is great for smokers but awful for non smokers. There is nothing on the website advising this is a hotel policy, and so for asthmatics it's a real problem. We had an awful stay, staff were unsympathetic and blasé.

Birmingham CtrPosted Jun 29, 2016
Pros: Location was very handy for the Train Station and shops
Cons: Total makeover of the room - carpet, paint - EVERYTHING
Location: close to shops, train, bullring etc
On first checking in, I was given a room that was already occupied! Had the room changed, but it was dull, in need of a total makeover. Very small. The window looked out onto what seemed to be another wall of the hotel with windows looking straight into my room. Very noisy nigh.
