Quaint B&B in a Good LocationPosted Jul 25, 2015 on Hotels
We were in town for Sloss Fest. This B&B is located in the 5-Points South area near downtown and UAB. The people that ran it were very nice. She made cookies each day we were there. Unfortunately we slept late an missed the breakfast. I would stay here again.

Beautiful setting with a lot of history. Breakfast is wonderful and in an old Southern setting. Sheila is a pleasant and lively host who loves people and wants your stay to be rememberable. B&B is within walking distance of some of Birmingham's favorite restaurants.

Amazing BnBPosted Jul 14, 2015
I went to Birmingham for vacation and stayed at Cobb Lane BnB for 1 night and Hassinger Daniels Mansion BnB for 3 nights. It was AMAZING definitely. Really clean pretty room and all room have private bath room. These are around five points so it's easy to get some pubs and restaurants. And, manager Sheila and Ara are great. Even I can't speak English well, they were always listen to me and gave me a lot of kindness. I'm thinking to go to Birmingham again soon and I'll stay there again.:) Thank you so much.

A wonderful artistic experience.Posted Jul 13, 2015
Pros: Friendly, beautiful, interesting. I love art so I was in my element and felt I was living in a picture. The hosts are really interesting and helpful.
Cons: Nothing. It is thoughtfully organized. Perhaps a little less fragrance on the bed linens but that is really minor.
Location: 5 Points is where it is at for me in Birmingham and you are right there. Botanical gardens, Art and Civil rights museums are very close.
Absolutely fabulous. Sheila and her husband are fascinating and welcoming. The house is beautiful and the location outstanding, literally 2 minutes walk from 5 Points South. Breakfast was delicious and the conversations around the table were memorable and interesting. The house is so cheerful and I felt I was in the middle of an art piece. The decoration on the meal table was like something out of a fairy story. This has been the been the best hotel experience I can ever remember and will certainly head there next time I am back in the area. Each room is different so you can have 10 totally different hotel experience here. The little kitchenette for guests was very helpful and parking easy.

Fascinating BirminghamPosted Jun 13, 2015
The couple who owns Cobb Lane recently finished renovating their newest location, where we stayed, a few blocks down the hill. Our third floor room was quiet with a comfortable bed (as well as an additional queen bed in an interesting nook) and room to sit, read, or enjoy a glass of wine before going out to dinner. It was quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. The house is filled with hundreds of collected items belonging to or carved by the owners. Bring a car or rent one to make all of Birmingham very accessible. Free parking and several very good (one great one) restaurants within walking distance.
