You get what you pay for with everything and I think that especially applies to hotels. If you want a $50 per night room, you'll get one and it will smell and not be clean I can assure you. This place was great. If you have business or anything near Birmingham, stay here. You'll save about $100 staying right downtown in a decent hotel and it's only 9 mins away. I took an exam on my trip and stayed on a Thursday night in late October. Hotel was dead quiet. I didn't see one guest in the hallway or elevator. The room was very clean, had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. So worth the price I paid and I saved about $100 if I stayed in a hotel right in Birmingham....that was clean and probably with more noise. I've stayed right downtown before in some pretty pricey rooms, where it was loud, obnoxious people slamming doors every 5 minutes and just not worth it. Stay here if you're not an el cheapo person and know that what you pay for is what you get. Worth every penny. :)

Easy access to Highway, quite, clean, and very friendly staff's. The best part it's a easy ride to USB.

Good, clean room for the night.

Good: very nice staff, room ready early, delicious lemon water in lobby, upgraded to a king suite, good Belgian waffles on the breakfast. Not so good: carpet in room wet from deep cleaning that morning, and smelled like cleaning solution. Everything else was good, average budget hotel level. We stayed here twice in a week and were not disappointed either time.

Smelly comfort

The only problem was walking into a hotel room in the deep south with a/c off. The room smelled horribly similar to wet dog. It took the room all night to cool off. I didn't sleep well because it was so stinky and hot.

Not up to normal Comfort Inn Standards

Cons: room rates to match quality of hotel.
Chose this hotel because of past experience of other hotels in the immediate area. Being a Comfort Inn, I expected the same level of quality as other CI I have stayed in. The staff was very nice and helpful but the rooms were poorly upgraded. It is obvious that this was an older hotel that was upgraded but the quality of workmanship was terrible. This hotel was almost double the price as others within 100 yards. Next time, I will stay the next exit from this location where the hotels are in better condition.

Great Breakfast, and hospitality.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausage links, waffles, juices, muffins, rolls, etc. And drinking water with lemon in the lobby was great. My husband has a guide dog, and they were very accommodating. I made another reservation because of all this.
