Hot and Noisy

One night stay as part of a combined family / business trip. Hotel service was adequate, room looked nice and was quite spacious, but the two big problems were heat and noise. Now admittedly we arrived during a mini-heatwave, but the room was immensely hot by night-time and there was a lot of noise from the station area outside which precluded the windows being opened. In the early morning we heard plenty of clanking, banging, and diesel engines being run in the adjacent street from about 5am with the windows closed. As a result, neither my daughter or I got much sleep.
I should also note that the beds are very soft and springy and not everyone will find this comfortable.
I would advocate some form of cooling - at least for the hotel as a whole - and double glazing for the room we were in (209).
