Super nice stay and everything was wonderful

Pros: The breakfast and the exercise room is exceptional
Location: Hotel in close to shopping stores, plenty of eating and grocery stores. 5 stars
My arrival was met by a friendly and professional front desk clerk. My check was short and informative My room was spacious, clean and my bed was great to sleep in.

Just okay

We had several issues with maintenance, maid service, and unsecured doors. The pool was heated but no seating...1 broken plastic chair and 1 bench. Toilet didn't work and maintenance NEVER showed up. Maids NEVER made up our room on 2nd day--didn't leave towels. Only saving grace was friendly staff at breakfast. She was awesome!

Pros: The room
Cons: Nothing
Location: Stores all round, don't even have to drive if you don't want to.
We was greeted with a warm smile,after checking in there were fresh lemon water and cookies baking.

Nice and convenient location

Convenient location near highway. Had a grocery store, Whataburger, and auto parts store all within a few blocks. Room was clean. The pull out bed was ok, and the regular beds were comfortable. Pool and hot tub were nice though the hours posted were wrong. Breakfast was typical and nice. Parking lot was not large, but was adequate.

Nice breakfast bar

Great place to stay over when travelling, plenty of restaurants and shops. Breakfast bar very nice, rooms nice, hotel nice, pool and hot tub not nice. Pool and hot tub needs a good painting and repair. Only 2 jets working in hot tub. We shopped for a nice place with pool, paid the extra money and it was a disappointment as we had planned on using to exercise and relax after driving all day.

Just Not What I Thought I Was Getting

I only stayed for one night after an Alabama football game. I wasn't expecting much, but the price was pretty high for what I got. The bathroom faucet just literally dribbled out water which made me worried about the shower - I HATE a shower with no pressure - but the shower was fine. There were sesame seeds on the desk which looked like someone at a burger there and no one bothered cleaning it up afterwards. There was popcorn strewn about the lobby and in the elevator. The place was just not what I'm used to staying in, which would have been fine had the room been sub-$100, but I paid the same as a Hilton Garden Inn and got a Hotel 8 experience. Just wasn't what I thought I'd get based on the price I paid. The lady that checked me in was GREAT - so the little bit of service I required was just fine. It was probably the sesame seeds on the desk and the dribbling faucet that caused this less than stellar review.

Pool Was a Huge Disappointment

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was above average. I was quite surprised at the variety of food that was made available; sausage links and patties, scrambled and boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereal, fruit, biscuits and gravy to name a few. However, the pool and the hot-tub were very dirty. There was a film and scum in both and sand at the bottom of the hot tub. Jets didn't work either. This was disappointing as this was the reason we chose the hotel. One of the vanity light-bulbs were out and the toilet seat was about to come off. The screws on the security latch of the door were coming out making this useless. Now before anyone responds with "I should have informed the front desk" I don't feel like I should have had to. During the daily housekeeping this should have been noticed when cleaning the toilet and the bathroom. Very busy area, lots of traffic with a small parking lot. The room itself was clean and the bed comfortable but unfortunately I would not stay here again.
