Did not enjoy my stay .

Bad experience. Room was dirty and tub. Had to get staff to clean tub. I did the dusting.

De eerste indruk die je in een hotel krijgt beïnvloedt vaak je hele beoordeling. We kwamen in het hotel aan en er was niemand bij de receptie. Er zat alleen een man naar een TV te kijken die veel te hard stond. Nadat mijn vrouw ongeveer een kwartier voor een lege receptie had gestaan met hard TV geluid op de achtergrond, stond de TV kijkende man op en slenterde hij naar de receptie en hielp ons met schijnbare tegenzin. Het was 14.45h en klopt dat je niet voor 15.00h kunt inchecken (wij beseften dat toen overigens niet omdat wij hadden vergeten dat het in Alabama een uur vroeger is dan in Floriade) maar je kunt op zijn minst als personeel wat zeggen. Tijdens het vervolg van ons verblijf hebben er wat vriendelijkere mensen aan de receptie gestaan.. Bessemer ligt eigenlijk wat ver van Birmingham om een goede uitvalsbasis te zijn en in Bessemer zelf is niets te doen, behalve een goed restaurant (BBQ Bob Sykes). Staat van onderhoud van het hotel is redelijk. Al met al zou ik zowel de locatie als het hotel niet aanbevelen.

This hotel does not take proper care of their gues

Cons: Customer service should be number one and this is NOT the case.
Location: The zoo and water park (Alabama Splash Adventure) were both great!
- Contact with the hotel manager was not responded to. Neither in phone or email. - The room door lock was broken. He informed the front desk and they were to send someone up to get it fixed right away. Of course, the right away did not happen and the door could not be fixed. (He did say the maintenance man was very nice.) - The individual at the desk wanted him to leave all his stuff in the room with the broken door. He acted like we was overreacting to saying this was not a safe option. - Was then told he could be moved to another room, but since it was not clean, it would take about 30 minutes. The individual called after 30 minutes and told them to go to the new room with all the stuff, that they could move it. After attempting to move, the room wasn't even finished. The cleaning person wasn't even aware someone was trying to move in.

Worst in the area

Not somewhere that you would want to stay. Look elsewhere. They do not give Cllub Carlson points of you book through Expedia. I stayed here twice and got points neither time. The desk won't tell you. After the second time, I called there corporate office and they told me no points if you go through Expedia. I won't go back to this or any other Country Inn and Suites.

Dirty place period.

Dirty sheets and pillow cases. Sofa bed had no sheets and pillows. Had to get sheets from front desk and they had no pillows available for the sofa bed.

Dirty and smells like smoke

I chose this hotel because the location and price. In the past, this chain has been reliable but not this time. The hotel is "non smoking" but the whole third floor smells like cigarettes and so did my room. The carpet felt sorry and there were...hairs...in the bathroom. The breakfast the next morning looked so awful I went somewhere else to eat. Do not stay here.

Needs renovation

Needs closet , bathroom renovation. The smells a lot of chlorine. Elevator was wet. Door too heavy. Eggs out at 7;00 am

Don't stay here

Bed was uncomfortable. Complimentary breakfast was supposed to go until 9:30 but was wiped out at 8:00 with no one replenishing or cleaning.

Grand Opening at Alabama Splash Adventure

The service at the front desk was bad as the clerk left for more than 1 hour to pick up a housekeeper and no-one was there to attend to guests. The breakfast was not good enough.

Room was very substandard from any room Ive ever satyed in. The tv was on top and a table, the fridge on floor, the paint was different colors on wall where they moved pictures around or something. It smeeled like smoke. Just not very nice at all! The pool its self was nice. But not taken care of. There were no towels and trash laying around everywhere. No one checked on it even after being told.
