Cons: noting it was perfect
the front desk was wonderful helping us correct our booking that was booked on the wrong date. excellent customer service

Nice hotel but the breakfast was not good

The breakfast was not fresh the waffle mix wasn't even mixed up it was so runny couldn't even make a waffle out of it the bread was stale and the muffins were stale

Good place if you got stuff to do

Hotel is a bit hard to find, even with GPS - tucked back in a corner next to Lowes. Check in was smooth and desk clerk helpful, especially when I had to change rooms because of the cleanliness of the first room. Large room, comfy bed, quiet. Everything you need to escape the hustle and bustle of family at the holidays. The breakfast was not very good but plenty of options close by. Location great for getting anywhere in the greater B'ham area.

Its nice

Its nice. The different options for breakfast is wonderful. Beds are clean and comfortable. I asked for more pillows cause they are small and too soft. I was informed that they didn't have extra pillows but it was fine overall this day was wonderful comfortable and I would do it again

Reasonably nice-looking hotel until...

As we entered our room on the second floor, my wife said she thought she saw something black in the doorway threshold, so she opened the door wider to verify whether it was just the light casting some kind of shadow or something. By the time we made it fully into the room, the confirmation was not what we wanted. It was the biggest roach I had EVER seen! I realize this probably sounds a little dramatic, but it was at least 3 to 3 1/2 inches long (where I'm from, that's pretty huge). We eventually killed it and I went down to the front desk to request a different room. This made our stay uncomfortable. We will not stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Convenience to restaurants in Homewood area and I-65
Cons: Walls seemed super thin---could hear all movement in adjoining rooms and in the hallway. Also, housekeeping came around every morning at 9am and you could hear her coming all the way down the hall.

Location: Lots of shopping and restaurants close by.
